Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The location was just perfect ,close to everything I wanted to see, yet in such a charming and peaceful spot which made the whole trip so easy and enjoyable. Waking up and stepping outside to such a lovely setting made me appreciate every moment of my stay. It truly felt like the best place to be, both for exploring and for relaxing. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and an unbeatable location

LatviaThere were a lot of wasps. I believe it depends on the season. This year there were many of them.
We liked the pool and the surroundings around it the most. The ice cream at the pool café was delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic – we were in Rome, but it felt like being completely elsewhere.

United KingdomThe Wella convention. I am a senior manager in the Hospitality Industry in London, and appreciate that big events such as these, are crucial, ( and generate huge income). However, the rooms facing the party on the terrace should have been pre- warned of a party taking place until midnight and we , as a family, would have stayed in Rone until much later in the night to avoid it. We had to put the TV on full volume to blank it out. We had to be awake early the next day for a flight home, and although tired, we were impressed by the clean- up operation. It was immaculate, as if it had never happened. It is a sign of good management on hoew quickly you recover from such high volume events. We will be back- thank you, all. Very much appreciated.
We have stayed at this hotel on many previous visits to Rome. It is our safe and comfortable choice where we know we will have a great visit. We stay before our cruise and afterwards. The team are exceptional. The lady with brown hair on reception, and Daniele remembered us. A small detail which goes a long way.Thank you, both. The Holy Day of Mary, the feast of the Assumption , was celebrated well with fresh fruit, gelato and iced tea served around the pool. It was a lovely gesture and appreciated by all. The smell in the corridors is divine. The upgraded chill out areas, with plush new furnishings adds an extra touch of luxury. The pizza is excellent both in terms of quality and value. Accommodating us with an early check in time. Chilled water in corridors. The varied and good quality breakfast.

United KingdomFamily room was comfortable but not the biggest - we didn't mind though as we barely spent any time in the room.
A beautiful hotel in a great location on the outskirts of Rome. Superb breakfast and gorgeous pool. An easy 15-20 minutes by cab to Trastevere or the Vatican.

United StatesIt was alittle farther away from the center of the city and there was nothing around in the area But a short walk got you to the tram and from there just 15 minutes into the center of Rome.
The property was lush and full of Trees and the views from the many terrace levels was beautiful. You have a view of the Villa Pamphili park and the surrounding countryside The pool was awesome! A great addition to! You got to experience a different stay than in the noisy center.

United KingdomLimited pool bar menu for during the day. Lots of sun loungers were broken, and with these being limited, they should be replaced regularly. There is an excessive amount of 'club reserved' that is not being utilised, whilst some guests are struggling to find a lounger. I suggest reviewing this!
Fabulous hotel stay. The hotel is situated in a stunning hilltop location, surrounded by stunning Mediterranean vegetation. Staff are all super friendly and very helpful. The pool is amazing! Very deep, so plan ahead and take life jackets, etc, for younger children. I contacted them beforehand, and they were very quick to respond; we could take our own inflatables, so we ordered from Amazon beforehand and took a small electrical pump! We stayed for five evenings and travelled into Rome most days, just a short taxi ride, approximately €18 each way. We had to pay an additional €10 supplement fee on top of each journey; however, we asked as there were 6 of us, so we needed an XL vehicle. Food in the hotel was very good, albeit a little limited during the day. More options should be available from the pool bar; you can't get chips or the lunchtime menu outdoors, just pizza, salad boxes, and sandwiches, unless you eat indoors. Very clean and lovely hotel, fantastic pool, and team! Stunning location. We'll definitely be back! Thank you!

United StatesThe proximity to town. It’s a little bit far from the city center. Cost us about $40 each trip with uber to get to the attraction areas from the hotel.
Amazing hotel and services. My friends and I enjoyed every bit of time we spent at the hotel. I especially love the neatness, the fact that it was cleaned and every time we step out! Everything was spotless. We also enjoyed the hot breakfast and different options that were available. I would recommend this hotel over and over! Forgot to mention, the pool was everything!

United StatesAs I have been here before, 3 years ago, I had a basis for comparison. The place needs a strong refresh. The physical structure is showing wear and should be addressed. The breakfast offerings and their serving temperatures should also be considered for upgrade. I was a little disappointed and I hope these issues will be addressed.
I’ve stayed here before and it’s the reason we returned. Great location and ambience. You’re surrounded by classic estates. In fact the actual nearby Villa Pamphili can be toured .

AustraliaThere was one woman at reception who was not very friendly or helpful. While the shuttle bus is a bonus, it has very limited availability (seating and times). The hotel is a close walk to public transport, however the road does not have a footpath and is quite windy and narrow - walking at night is not ideal.
The rooms were very spacious and well equipped. The pool area was fabulous! Breakfast offered enough variety and was of good quality. The common areas were well decorated. Most of the staff at reception were friendly and helpful!

LatviaThe little things, for example the bathroom toilet not flushing optimally and especially the shower not having a glass encasing or similar. I've seen several hotels do this, most likely due to budgetizing. But still, the outcome is that if you take a shower the entire bathroom gets wet; the toilet, everything. Ventilation in general is also poor in here. If you use hot water, immediately the sink mirror becomes glazed with steam. Not having a glass encasing is the biggest issue in my opinion. That's not something you can cut back on. At least not for a four-star hotel. Another little thing is that around the swimming pool area it's quite chaotic in the sense that it's nice and all, but there is rarely enough room to sit if it's over 20 people or 50 people; I have no idea why they don't implement some kind of maximum capacity rule.
I simply liked everything about the hotel, the facilities etc. overall / as a whole

United StatesThe gym is horrible. And why close it at 10PM? The hotel staff is not paying any attention to that gym as evidence of the children of a patron that as running around the gym while I was trying to workout. Breakfast was good but they shut down at 10:30 AM during the week which is too early.
Pool, restaurants and location being outside the city center but still very close. Concierge (Stefano) was great and went above and beyond to help me make plans. My airline lost my luggage and he worked with the hotel staff to have my only set of clothes that I did have, laundered there onsite (they send it out typically which takes longer).
