Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyLarge, clean room. Breakfast served on a terrace with an amazing view over lake Maggiore. The host, Riccardo, was lovely. Very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. With only three rooms there is no hustle and one can really unwind while staying here.

New ZealandDon’t take the road access recommended by Google maps from the Pisano end, but access by via Fosseno at the Lesa end. Otherwise there are some very narrow village roads to negotiate. But absolutely nothing wrong with the property.
Beautiful view overlooking Lago Maggiore, in a villa with gated garden and a pool. Our host Riccardo was excellent and very helpful (even with limited English.) There was a shared kitchen (2 other rooms are rented out) and a delicious breakfast, Italian style, each morning, eaten on the balcony with fabulous views of the lake. The room was very clean with lots of lovely touches, especially fine china.

United KingdomNo complaints - all good.
Wonderful views across lake Maggiorre from 2 of 3 rooms, and particularly great whilst enjoying breakfast from the balcony. Nice Breakfast basket and kitchen facilities if you want to sort yourself a meal, but we headed into Arona which has a great selection of lakeside restaurants. Some local restaurants but quiet area and we did not try these. Small but nice pool with lake views, BBQ and pizza oven and sun beds. Friendly and helpful welcome.

United StatesThe breakfast as I said above is a basket for each room. There are two croissants, 2 ham and cheese sandwichs on white bread, more white breat (toaster available), small jam and butter, 2 yogurts, limited granola and blueberries, two hard boiled eggs, and two twinkie-like cakes in plastic. You make your own coffee which comes out in small amounts so that you need three refills for your breakfast. The windows of the rooms look out on the lake thru the porch so there is no privacy in the morning or evening and you need to keep the shade down. The shade works by pulling a strap on the right side.
The view of the lake and surrounding area is spectacular. You can see Malpensa Airport and Milan with the binoculars that are available. The drive up to it was a bit harrowing and took a while. If Stresa or Arona was your main point of being there you might want to be closer. The Lake room where we stayed is great. Large. Many windows so it is light. The bathroom is very large, has a window that overlooks the garden and the shower is great. It has a TV, fan and AC. The Secret Room where our friends stayed also looks out on the lake but is smaller, darker, smaller bathroom with a slight incline to get into it. They were not as happy as we were. The Garden Room obviously looks out on the garden not the lake but has a nice bathroom. There is a kitchen available for the use of the guests in all three rooms. Breakfast is left out in baskets for each room and is served on a lovely porch viwing the lake that runs along the two bedrooms and the kitchen. The grounds are very nice with a small outdoor pool. The property has a gate at the top by the road so is quite secure. Richard, the owner, was pleasant and helpful although his English seemed quite limited.

United StatesVilla Marisa bills itself as a B&B. We have been to many B&B's and this was not your typical B&B. Instead of a breakfast room where the guests can have a chance to meet one another, breakfast was in a basket left for us each morning on the terrace. The B&B has three rooms and they all share a common kitchen area. You do not find that in a typical B&B. Richard greeted us when we arrived but otherwise there was very little interaction with him. The place lacked the "personal touch" and warmth that we usually find at B&B's.
The view of Lake Maggiore from the terrace was beautiful.
