Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaIncredibly kind, attentive and friendly staff. The b & b is located in a beautiful garden that's away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento itself, but still very accessible. I was greeted with lemonade and chocolate cake upon arrival, breakfast was amazing, and on the one day I had to leave too early for breakfast, I was provided with breakfast "to go". The room was quiet, comfortable, and I slept very well. Highly recommend.

Beautiful house with gardens full of orange and lemon trees. Absolutely superb breakfast brought to your table. All homemade from the garden and a mix of savoury and sweet. Owners were incredibly communicative, picked us up from the station, and nothing was too much trouble.

The location was great, just a few minutes walk into Piano di Sorrento. The attention to detail was wonderful. The owners were friendly and informative and each day breakfast consisted of home made food using things grown in their own garden such as oranges and lemons. Really lovely experience

RussiaEverything was great. Thanks dear friends!
Villa Maresca is a top choice (and i have seen and lived in maaany places of a different kind so can compare). This is a place you would like to return. Like a paradise. And this impression you get not because of the Mediterranean area, not because of lemon/orange/mandarine/avocado etc garden but thanks to the incredible hospitality and warmth of the hosts. Rooms are very comfortable, even in winter. Very clean. Sound-proof. Great terrace with a garden view and side sea view. Our bed and pillows were comfortable. On the top you have breakfast, you will never forget. All home-made things, all fresh, all greatly served in a very cozy living room (specially in Christmas time). Eggs, avocado, kishes (varieties), fresh orange juice, great coffee, and this is just a beginning. All in all, you will love it all for sure. All you need , just ask your hosts. Greatly recommended.

IndiaIf you have an activity to join in sorrento town, you need to leave 30 mins early.
The place was excellent. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. They even picked us up from the Piano train station and also dropped us back after checkout. The breakfast was really customised and excellent. They worked tirelessly to make the stay most comfortable.

GermanyFederica is an amazing host! From a lovely breakfast with homemade marmalades, cakes and juices to support in finding the right activities and restaurants to spend time at during the vacation. She thought of everything! The B&B is located beautifully inbetween lemon gardens and northern to Piano di Sorrento while still in walking distance to the beach (~20 min).

CanadaThe only downside I can see was the optional dinner that we took the last evening which was disappointing but they kindly did change the wine which was appreciated
Owners were very friendly and helpful, room was spacious, super clean and comfortable, breakfast was exceptional, with lot of choices and variety. They also did help in finding a company for a boat tour in the Amalfitan coast. Truly a gem in Sorrento.

Toni and Frederica were amazing hosts, so helpful. Offering any help and advice you want, rooms were amazing set inside beautiful gardens with lemons, oranges and fruits. The breakfast was outstanding, home grown jams, cakes etc. Never stayed in a more hospitable place. On top of that they have parking space and are close to Sorrento centre. Highly recommended!! 11 out of 10!

Bosnia and HerzegovinaThis is such a beautiful, tranquil place to relax and truly enjoy your vacation. Host Toni and his wife are very nice people, make you feel like at home and take care of every little detail to make your stay enjoyable. I was served every morning with amazing breakfast, home made food, fresh fruit and vegetables grown from their own farm. I also appreciate the recommendations for local attractions, restaurants and other useful information that the host shared with me, I was very much impressed with all of the places I visited and satisfied with the food served at the restaurants. On top of all that, the host provided me with transportation to and from the accommodation, which was of great help and very kind gesture, making me wish and plan to come again to visit this little piece of paradise.

United StatesI can't think of anything that was negative.
Everything! The location was perfect for my 7-night stay. It was very peaceful and quiet. The grounds are lovely. The lemon orchards are beautiful! The ultimate highlight for me was the daily homemade breakfast which was beyond wonderful!! I truly felt like a queen being served such a delightful and scrumptious breakfast every morning. All ingredients come directly from Federica and Tony's beautiful gardens. The daily breakfasts carried me through the day to the point where I rarely felt the need to eat lunch and/or dinner. Federica is a very talented chef. Her husband Tony was very attentive to making sure my needs were met. They were wonderful hosts! Getting to and from Sorrento center via bus was very easy.

Toni and Federica were ready to help with whatever needed. They helped us book a tour to Capri and checked everything we asked. And all that in the lovely and romantic scene of their villa, surrounded with beautiful gardens! And we cannot forget the amazing breakfast that included all sorts of goods made from the vegetables and fruit from their garden. The stay was amazing! We couldn’t ask for anything better!

Villa Maresca was a dream property to stay at in the Sorrento area. My husband and I always try to find places to stay that allow us to learn and interact with the hosts/ other individuals staying there. Federica and Antoninio were the most wonderful hosts you could ask for. They were waiting when we arrived, had tips for our future days activities, and the breakfasts…there aren’t enough words to describe the selections/ delicacies they put out for us. Our room ( the Pink room) was spacious, with wonderful private back balcony, extremely clean and very comfortable. The shower had lots of hot water, great strength and lots of places to put your belongings. We stayed for about 5 days, and every day we felt like we were royalty. The gardens on their property, the ease of getting around town and to the train station to go to Pompeii, Sorrento and to visit the lovely town of Piano di Sorrento itself was just perfect. But of course, the main reason to stay there is to come and meet the wonderful host and hostess of Villa Maresca. We arrived as strangers, but left leaving as friends. We hope to return one day! Gratz I! So many thanks!

TurkeyThe only downside of our stay was the hairdryer in our room. For someone with long hair like me, a good hairdryer is essential. I wish it had been better.
One of the standout features of our stay was the warm hospitality of Frederica and Toni, the owners of the villa. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Even before our arrival, Frederica reached out to provide us with valuable insights on local attractions, restaurants, beaches, and excursions. Following her recommendations made our trip truly enjoyable. The breakfast at Villa Maresca deserves a special mention. It was simply outstanding. Every item served was made from produce grown in their own garden, giving it a unique and fresh flavor. This added a delightful touch to our mornings. Parking: Traveling with a rental car, the on-site parking was a significant advantage. No hassle, no stress. Clean & Authentic: While the room might not have been the newest, it was spotlessly clean and exuded an authentic charm, giving a genuine feel of the locale.

PeruMosquitos ;) but they even had anti mosquito spray.
We stayed there for 9 nights and we have to say, it was hard to leave at the end. Cleanliness was top 10/10 Parking 9/10 Wifi 10/10 Location 10/10 - not located in the city center, thus it was really quiet and peaceful, yet most of Piano di Sorrento was at walking distance. For the rest we used our rental car, but there are also busses and a train station nearby. Breakfast was diverse and delicious, everyday there were new things to discover. Also, everything was made with fresh local produce from their own garden 100/10 Service and recommendations 100/10 The entire Villa Maresca family was very kind and helpful, especially Toni, who helped us find the best beaches nearby and booked a few tours for us and gave us a lot of information in general, and Enzo with his infinite espressos (or as they say in Napoli, cafes). He even helped us with a few car troubles. We will definitely come back to enjoy more of this beautiful environment and to get to know even more about Sorrento and the Italian culture and cuisine.
