Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsHad to get used to making sure that any food package was totally closed or the ants would be all over the food and tables. Could use more lights above the outdoor dinner table.
Lots of room with private bathroom for each room, which is very helpful with an extended family staying over. Nice outdoor area to stay in.

RomaniaOur experience at “Villa Il Cappero” was a nightmare. We chose this property trusting the photos on Booking, which showed a modern villa with a pool, decent rooms, and a welcoming atmosphere. In reality, we were completely scammed. • The photos in the listing are misleading: they show two different villas, but this is never explained anywhere. We booked thinking we would have access to the pool, but it was in another property, completely separate. • The bathroom was in unacceptable condition: full of mold, visible dampness, and a suffocating smell. My partner is allergic to mold – staying there was dangerous for her health. • The accommodation for 4 people was a joke: one bed stuck in the middle of the living room and another one above it, accessible only by a ladder, with absolutely no privacy. It was impossible to rest. • Stifling heat, humidity everywhere, zero insulation, and an unbearable air quality.

PortugalWe stayed at "Villa II Capero" We are a couple with three adult children (ages 19, 19, and 25). Therefore, it was essential for us to rent a vacation villa that would provide us with the minimum amenities we consider essential. After reading the ad and being "on Booking," we were convinced that it had the comfort we needed for a fantastic and peaceful vacation, as we enjoy: * A bedroom with beds for three people * and another bedroom for us with privacy. * And, being a villa, it also had an indoor living room and a fully equipped kitchen so we could cook our meals and grill our barbecue, as the ad indicated. * With an incredible outdoor space that included part of another side kitchen. * With an outdoor pool; Regarding the pool, I have to admit that we were already assuming. This is because, although the general advertisement for "Villa II Capero" states that it has a pool (and doesn't mention that it was for the exclusive use of the "other Villa," as it should have been to clarify for guests and avoid misleading advertising), we only found out when I exchanged messages with the owner when we were trying to add two more people and realized something wasn't right about the pool. At that point, there was nothing else we could do. We had booked flights and rented a car and had no other option. The truth is, the only option available when we rented the villa didn't clearly state that the villa we were renting didn't have a pool. That was bad enough in itself, but what really surprised us and definitely ruined our vacation was when we arrived at the villa and realized we had actually rented a three-bed annex, with no kitchen, no living room, and no barbecue. Or, in other words, a three-bed room with three indoor appliances but no privacy and a garden with two outdoor appliances. On the first day, we tried to make breakfast, and it was a disaster: - My son got an electric shock from the microwave outside.

DenmarkIt was not clear what we had actually booked and the day before arrival we were informed that our booking did not include use of the pool! In the end we were then allowed anyway. Very big point to note is that the apartment is equipped only with a messy and very simple outdoor kitchen, no oven or bbq and only cold water. Fridge inside. Lots of cats and ants. If you like outdoor/camping it is the place for you. We felt it was overpriced in terms of what we got.
We booked the upstairs apartment which had a round double bed on the ground floor and a double bed + a day bed upstairs. Airconditioned and a fan to make the cool air circulate upstairs. Really nice outside lounge area and a dinner table with 4 chairs.

LatviaOur stay at Alessandro's villa in San Vito Lo Capo was absolutely fantastic! We traveled as a group of 10 adults and 3 kids, and the villa perfectly accommodated all of us with ease and comfort. From the moment we arrived, Alessandro proved to be an exceptional host. He was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. His local recommendations and tips were invaluable and added a special touch to our experience. One of the highlights of the villa is the spacious lounge area. It served as the perfect gathering spot for our group, providing a comfortable and stylish space to relax and enjoy each other's company. The kids had plenty of space to play, and the adults appreciated the cozy ambiance for evening conversations and relaxation. The swimming pool was a fantastic addition to our stay. The kids loved splashing around, and the adults enjoyed taking a refreshing dip in the afternoons. Alessandro made sure the pool was cleaned each day, which we greatly appreciated. His attention to detail ensured that the pool area remained pristine and inviting throughout our stay. The outdoor grill area was another fantastic feature of the villa. We spent several evenings grilling fresh local seafood and enjoying al fresco dining under the stars. The well-maintained garden and outdoor seating made these moments even more special. On our last day, Alessandro made a traditional Sicilian dinner for us that he prepared himself. It was an unforgettable culinary experience, filled with delicious local dishes. After dinner, he delighted us by playing Italian songs on his guitar and singing. This heartfelt performance was the perfect end to our stay and left us with wonderful memories of our time in San Vito Lo Capo. Overall, our stay at Alessandro's villa was a wonderful experience. The combination of a great location, excellent amenities, and a superb host made it a trip to remember.

Great place just outside of the centre of San Vito lo Capo, surrounded by nature and with a very nice atmosphere. The owner is very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. We slept in the room for 2, but they also have a bigger space for 6 or 8 people that looks outstanding. I'm looking forward to coming back with a group of friends to enjoy the bbq area and the villa. Highly reccomended

CanadaThe listing was misleading from day one. I should have enquired more about the property. The property is actually 3 attached suites in one guest house. Images are misleading and what the individual suites contain is never fully explained. We got a glorified “bunk bed:” one large round bed on ground floor and a claustrophobic loft above…with ZERO AIR in 40 degree C weather…not even a fan. Owner, while nice was in adjoining suite…and this was never noted in listing. Outdoor kitchen was useless.
General notion of property and location OK…quick drive to beach. Neatly tucked away and good adjacency to supermarket.

HungaryThe atmosphere was superb, the host was very kind and the location is great if you want to avoid the busy town center. We were located on the outskirts of town with trees around us. The house has a garden, you can enjoy the shade in the morning or in the evening after a day of exploring. There's a grocery store for a 10 mins walk. The place was quiet and we had cats who live there/or in the area, and are extremely cute. It's advisable to rent a car, as the region has so much to offer. The closest beaches are for a 10 mins drive.

United StatesIt is not acceptable to advertise with a picture of a pool which does not belong to the property is dysfunctional and cannot be used. Take that picture off the advertisement. Also "Villa Ill Capero" is a misleading term since you just get a one room appartement, which is nice but not what we expected to see.
Very nice yard and terasse with beautiful trees. Very noce host.
