Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Host Lucia was amazing!! She couldn't do enough for us :) We will definatly return here! Including our family, The grandchildren loved the pool and we did too! Didn't want to leave!

United KingdomThe family dog was just too cute, it should be illegal to be that adorable!
We really loved Villa Flavia and will definitely return one day. The location is wonderful, set in the hills and easily walkable into Sant Agnello as well as Sorrento if you dont mind the extra steps. The pool area is well maintained and we often had it to ourselves. We stayed in an apartment for 2 and it was perfect. Great air conditioning, and a beautiful terrace with a stunning view. Amenities are all well stocked in the apartment as well. Lucia is the host of Villa Flavia and she is such a wonderful person who couldn't do enough for us during our stay. Lucia drove us both to the supermarket and to the station when we checked out. We can't thank Lucia enough for a perfect stay!

United KingdomLate noise from the neighbours. We were woken a couple of nights by loud talking from people out on the road at 3 am.
The setting in lovely gardens with brilliant views. Well kitted out kitchen, with the basics (good coffee especially) provided by the host.

United KingdomPillows a bit on the firm side for my taste so a couple of different options would have been appreciated but my husband didn't have an issue so purely just personal preference. Other than that it was a lovely place to stay
Everything! The owner met us on arrival and showed us around the apartment and the exterior of the property - even helped carry bags up to our apartment. Apartment was huge and comfortable - we only used the kitchen to make drinks and prepare breakfast but it was well equipped so could easily have cooked an evening meal. They had a stock of oils / herbs / seasonings etc as well as a selection of coffees and teas along with croissants, jams, and some complimentary water and a large beer in the fridge as a welcome pack. Best of all we were encouraged to pick oranges from their orchard for our morning juice - we did this and the juice was way better than what we'd bought from the supermarket on our way there on day 1. Had a great wrap around balcony so could either either have sun or shade at any time of the day or alternatively get out of the breeze which I'm sure would be welcomed in the summer heat but was on occasion a bit chilly in mid May. Villa pool looked great - we didn't use it as the weather wasn't warm enough for swimming. Plenty of shady car parking and it was about a 15 - 25 mins walk from the villa to the bars / restaurants in Sant Agnello including down to those on the cliffs for sunset views and either a longer walk or one stop on the train into Sorrento. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

IrelandWe had the maisonette, it was perfect with everything we could have possibly needed for a weeks stay. Ideal location in Sant’Agnello, 5 minutes walk from town, and still only 20minutes walk from Sorrento. The peace and quiet of Villa Flavia and its surroundings was so great after being out in the hustle & bustle of the towns along the Amalfi coast each day. Beautiful pool area and views.

BelgiumClean. Bright. Large. Beautiful garden with oranges and lemons. Easy to reach by car. Includes parking. Very good location. Walking distance to the center (a safe route is Via S. Martino and the rest on the sidewalk (pavement) of Corso Italia). Easy access to the rest of the peninsula without having to drive thru the congested center of Sorrento.

United KingdomVilla Flavia is a really good base for visiting the Amalfi coast. We stayed for 10 days. It is convenient for Sorrento, but Sant'Agnello is a nice place to stay. There are good restaurants in the town and a pizzeria nearby. Finally, our host was Lucia. She gave us good advice and made sure we were comfortable. We hope to return next year.

SloveniaIt was a very nice apartment at a good location (30 min walk from Sorrento). It had a big terrace overlooking Neaples and Vesuvius. It had a private parking as well. I liked that it was at a peaceful location, a bit away from the street noice, in the middle of lemon orchards, but close enough to walk to the sea, or Sorrento or the train station.

United StatesThe bed needed to be more comfortable. The towels were very rough. The windows had no screens which although very common for Italy, had to be kept closed because there were many mosquitos due to all the foliage. There were some items lacking such as kitchen sink soap detergent and bath gell.
Lucia was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was big and the kitchen was adequate. The shower was good. The surrounding outside contained many beautiful plants and fruit trees. Parking was also provided.

Lucia Is the most kind & helpful host. She is on hand for anything you need The apartment was clean & spacious with a lovely terrace to sit on with your coffee/wine From Sant Agnello it is about a 25 min walk into Sorrento. Yes it can be scary at times due to the lack of pavements but you get used to it! The local area has a number of bars/restuarants, bus stops & the train station The main villa which is where the pool is & huge roof terrace overlooks the bay of naples, is full of orange & Lemon Trees Lots of comments about the dogs barking but it's just when people come through the gates....it's not constant! Would 100% recommend staying here 😄

AustraliaWe couldn’t believe our luck when we checked in. Views are magnificent from the wrap-around balcony and the apartment was superb, better than the pictures! It’s been renovated since the pictures were taken. We walked everywhere but some might find it too far into Sorrento. Cooling down in the pool was lovely after the walk back up from the beach. Highly recommend a stay here and the host was lovely!

United KingdomNeighbours' dogs! Constantly barking and running along the fence, loud and intimidating. Got used to it, but it's not very pleasant. Also, there was some traffic noise but hardly heard with windows closed (and air-con on!).
Very friendly host, nice orange orchard (we could pick oranges and lemons directly from trees). We stayed in a maisonette, well equipped, comfortable, and spacious. Gorgeous views from the rooftop and from the maisonette balcony.

United KingdomThere was a bit of a climb from the town to the villa. Noisy family in next apartment meant we could not lie in as they were up early every morning but that was not the fault of the hosts, just one of those things.
The terrace for our apartment was lovely. Enjoyed the pool and large living space. Hosts were very kind, and helpful. Offered us a lift to the shops and the station.

United KingdomWe have nothing negative to say about this place.
The host was very welcoming and friendly. Went above and beyond offering to drive us to a supermarket or into Sant’Agnello or Sorrento. Very spacious accommodation, perfectly clean with everything you could need. Large L shaped balcony providing sun and shade all day. The apartment is housed in a beautiful garden surrounded by rose bushes and orange and lemon groves. It’s truly beautiful. There is also a pool with sun loungers and a roof terrace offering even more fantastic views. Locally there is a Mini Market and a Pizza restaurant which we would definitely recommend. Great food and extremely good value. It’s about a 10 minute walk into Sant’Agnello centre, where there are lots of bars and restaurants, and it’s around a 30minute walk into Sorrento. We especially appreciated the peace and tranquility of this location which made a great retreat away from busy Sorrento.
