The bathing area's restaurant and sun loungers were lovely, but the water was not well suited for bathing, as the lake bed is covered by very slippery rocks.

The grounds of the hotel are a peaceful island, in the centre of an extremely busy town. Breakfast and dining arrangements were close to ideal; dining under the stars, and breakfast in the sun.

Thin Acoustic Walls (Especially the Bathroom Vents) While the rooms themselves were impeccably comfortable and calming inside, one issue did stand out: sound traveled easily through the bath vents. Unfortunately, we could often hear other guests conversing or moving around Driving through Sirmione town was a bit stressfull, manageble, when get used to the tight spaces and crowd.

Wow factor from the moment we arrived at the gates of the hotel. Staff very efficient and super friendly. The facilities are truly 5 star, lido/jetty down at the lake did turn a lot of heads of those walking the coastal path. 'Villa Cortine Palace' really is a PALACE!

Not sure if I missed information about “how to arrive” before booking this hotel. I guess we just lucked out with a smaller car that was able to pass through town to arrive. If it had been larger we’d have been stuck. Also lucky that the day and time we arrived wasn’t during a “no car/pedestrian only” time block.

I have to lead with the excellence of the staff. Everyone was so welcoming and lovely. We ate all of our meals at the resort during our 2 night stay and enjoyed every bite. Cocktails at the bar were exquisite. Everything was just wonderful.

There is nothing to report here. Perhaps we might have been warned about driving through the cobbled town roads of Simione amongst all the tourists to access the hotel. Quite an experience!!! My husband was so worried that we were doing the wrong thing!!!

A hotel that you can not say anything bad as everything about it is just superb. One of the nicest hotels in the world. So close to the ruins and the cobbled town of Simione. We so loved our stay there.

The town of Sirmione was very crowded.

Our stay was perfect and exceeded expectations on all levels. Our room was amazing and service from all staff, was excellent! Villa Cortine Palace Relais Chateaux was the highlight of our visit to Sirmionie, Lagi di Garda!

advanced notice that you need to tell your taxi driver to drive through the town. We were dropped off a km away at the electric gates to the town - luggage and all - disaster. This was compounded by another big problem at the hotel. 52 rooms and only 1 telephone line for all calls - reservations, concierge - And its the same line if you call internally or if you’re calling from outside of the hotel as we were when we were dropped off with a km to go to the hotel with our luggage.

Villa Cortine is an exceptional place in every way. The gardens are stunning and the old villa is beautiful. The staff are very attentive and nothing is a problem. Dining is also amazing. We loved everything about our stay here. 10/10 and we will be back.

Honestly there is so little to fault but the Wifi was slow and inconsistent, we had to keep putting in new codes that expired and network coverage wasn't great so relied heavily on it.

A stunning hotel set within the most well-kept grounds and perfect location. The bar is such an incredible backdrop with great service from everyone. The freshly made pizzas were delicious, the rooms were great with amazing views across the lake. The croissants at breakfast were little works of art.

This is a beautiful, luxurious hotel. The staff and facilities were amazing. All staff were welcoming and provided exceptional service. We had a lovely old style room with a view of Lake Garda and the gardens. The room was huge as was the bathroom. The hotel is pricey but completely worth it.

The access to the hotel is tricky, and we arrived on a Sunday afternoon when the access to the hotel through the historic center of Sirmione is closed. We had to park the car in a huge public car park, where the hotel has some allocated, secure parking lots at the far end. We had 2 big suitcases plus hand luggage, and we had to drag our luggage ourselves along a gravel path to a meeting point at the entrance from where we were taken together with guests of other hotels to our hotel by a contractor with a golf buggy. We could not leave the car there and had to collect it on the same evening, and transfer it to the car park at the hotel. This is very inconvenient, and we wonder why the hotel does not have sufficient and secure parking outside, and its own shuttle service for its guests. Once arrived at the hotel, everything is reachable by foot, and we would have been perfectly happy to leave the car in the secure car park just outside the historic center. Driving through the very narrow streets of the historic center with a bigger car is possible, but considering that the town is over-run by thousands of tourists every day, driving through the crowds is a rather scary experience. Clearly, the hotel has to find a better solution there.

Villa Cortine met all our expectations, and it is a true 5 star plus hotel in every sense. Breakfast, bar and restaurant are excellent, service is perfect, and the hotel and its extensive grounds are amazing.

A fitness center on the property would be beneficial to guests.

The hotel is lovely and private, a quiet retreat just up the hill from the shops and restaurants. The grand entrance is stunning. Breakfast was fantastic as was the staff. The only reason we wouldn't rate the property higher is that it did not have a fitness center, and none were close by. For those driving to the property also be prepared that the only route is directly through the crowd, so it can take 10-15 min just to go a few hundred feet depending on the time of day you drive. All in all though, we had a lovely stay at this beautiful hotel.
