Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThe location is 6-8 km from Sant' Agnello and serviced by a small bus company with a roughly hourly timetable, the tourist maps didn't include the different Sunday timetable so watch for that. Try to get the most most up to date information, and be prepared to be a bit flexible with time-frames. No problem if you have a car.
Very welcoming, swimming pool, views, balcony, close to some restaurants and a small supermarket.

New ZealandThe room was not what the photos showed and smaller than I had expected. Very sporadic wifi and at times no hot water
Lovely place higher up from Sorrento. Supermarket and restaurants close by. Easy to get to by bus from Sorrento, if only the busses would have a reliable bus timetable as we had to wait around a bit. Owners very friendly people. Nice swimming pool, good coffee

The hostess was so friendly and most obligingly. It was like staying with friends but also not intrusive. The apartment had all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Heating was in the apartment for colder evenings. Beautiful views overlooking the bay of Naples and only about 4 k from Sorrento. We hope to return.

SwedenWe loved every moment of our stay at Villa Cinzia! The view from the house and garden is amazing and so is the large pool! The owners are such generous, kind and caring people and they made us all feel very welcome. It´s a short walk into town where there are a couple of really nice restaurants. We had a fantasic week here and we will definetely be back!

United KingdomDriving could be a little hair raising on some of the narrow streets with the fairly aggressive style the locals are used to. The WiFi and local 4g signal seems a bit inconsistent.
Villa Cinzia is in a wonderful location and setting with fantastic views over the bay of Naples and Cinzia herself is so friendly and welcoming and very quick to reply to messages. Her Father was also delightful and took great pleasure showing us around the gardens and picking fresh lemons for us too. A very nice bottle of local wine was also appreciated. The villa apartment interior is of a charming old style decor, comfortable and adequately furnished and equipped. There is a supermarket a short drive or a 10 minute walk away, close to some great restaurants, that has provisions, dish washing and cleaning equipment and condiments in case you have forgotten them.

United KingdomBe careful on the pool's spring board as it is really not deep enough and there are no depth marks on the pool side.
The pool was superb and we had it all to ourselves for 4 days in early June. The gardens and outdoor space made it feel relaxed and private. Looking out at the view of Sorrento and Vesuvius every day was special. Cinzia welcomed us warmly with the offer of coffee when we arrived and a bottle of wine. The family gave us their own lemons and lettuce from the garden. The bed was very big and comfortable and parking was easy and secure which cannot be said usually in more touristy places. It was a short walk to Colli de Fontanelli where there is a choice of restaurants, bars and a supermarket. Having a car is a must.

PolandWe had a great 7 days stay. View from apartament, its private balcony and swimming pool is just amazing. Host is very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect to see all places like Vesuvio, Amalfi, Sorento, Pompei etc, with a car. Airconditionning with heating option is useful. Parking place was safe and big. Close to shop and restaurants. Wifi works very good but you need to connect to a good network, in my case it was TIM-... network. I can definitely recommend this place. Grazie!

New ZealandThe bed was quite creaky and sagged a bit in the middle which was uncomfortable - a new bed base and mattress would help. A microwave would be useful, and the fridge door lacked secure storage for larger bottles. The wifi was almost non-existent, we manged to pick up a signal when out by the pool, but inside was useless.
The view from the balcony towards the bay of Naples was fantastic and Cinzia and her family were welcoming, especially helpful as we arrived later at night than originally planned but were still able to check in easily. Car parking is excellent, off the street. The rooms were spacious. Location was great for access to the Amalfi coastal towns and Sorrento - sadly the buses were less than regular and completely not on time, so we spent a lot of time waiting. We appreciated the bottle of wine to welcome us, and then two further bottles (home made and delicious) from Cinzia's father, and having our laundry dome as well.

We got offered coffee and even food while we stayed there and Mamma Cinzia even ironed my shirts for the wedding! Cinzia and her family were welcoming, friendly and helpful, humble and loving family to hang out with! We parted with a hug and will definitely be back!

United KingdomWi-Fi inside the apartment was not great but I did go to Italy to sit inside. It also meant the teenagers went to sit in Wi-Fi corner as we named it by the pool.. 😀
Cinzia and her family are very friendly and welcoming. We were greeted with a smile and home made limoncello. The 1 bed apartment was great for our needs as a family of 4 including 2 teenagers. We had everything we needed. A fantastic view of the bay of Naples, 3 restaurants, a shop, a bar in the village, parking and a wonderful pool. Giovanni (Dad) showed me around his herb Garden to use freely and came with gifts of home grown tomato’s and wine. We were also treated to hone made bread from Cinzia’s mum. We were all made to feel incredibly welcome. Thankyou.

This is a home from home, everything you need for a relaxing, self catering stay. A warm welcome on arrival from Cinzia, her Mother and her Father, Giovanni. Giovanni made us fresh coffee which was much appreciated after travelling since 1am from London. Cinzia took the time to sit with us and tell us about her home, amenities in the area and also show us around our room and ensure we were settled. The bed was very comfortable, room was clean, kettle, fridge, toaster, hair dryer etc everything you need and more. We were very comfortable there, it feels so homely. Especially with Cinzia and her family be around to help with anything you need. On two occasions we were brought ice cream to the pool! Giovanni has a vineyard opposite where he makes wine, he gifted us a bottle of red and a bottle of white to enjoy during our stay. 2 minute walk to a bus stop where you can visit positano, sorrento, amalfi etc. all no more than €2.40 per person. Easy to get around, although there are no timetables you just have to be early and wait! You buy your tickets before boarding, at the “bar” across the road. Which is a cafe / restaurant open from early til late. One evening Giovanni bought us some home made lemon cello to enjoy whilst we watched the sunset from the terrace. The true beauty of this view cannot be explained. You must see it for yourself. The pool area is kept immaculately clean and the pool has a shower and diving board. We felt so welcomed by this lovely family, opening up their home to us and catering for all we needed. There are 4 very nice restaurants in the “square” again just 2 minutes walk. Everything is perfect. We couldn’t have asked for more. If you’re thinking of booking - just do it! We will be back again and again. Cannot recommend enough 😃 thank you Cinzia and family, you are so kind and we had the best holiday, a true Italian authentic experience, sight seeing and luxury relaxation.

IrelandThe apartment could do with a bit of renovating (mattress, wifi).
We received a very warmth welcome from the hosts, Giovanni and Cinzia, who received us with coffee and lemoncello despite are getting lost and running late. Conversations with Giovanni were very enjoyable. Cinzia always available and willing to help and making sure we all have a pleasant stay. Both are very kind people. The most remarkable features of the place are its incredible pool and fantastic views. The location is very convenient, you can easily reach Sorrento and the whole Amalfi coast (better to rent a car/scooter). I definitely recommend this accommodation.

United StatesLOCATION IS TERRIBLE if you want to go to Sorrento. If you want to pay $40-50 for a taxi each way then no problem. If you think you will take the bus, plan on potentially waiting 45-50 minutes for a bus with NO driver to help!! And I speak Italian, The bus system here is a WRECK!
