Fabulous location… Central to all other towns by transport and short walk to everything in Varenna. Team from the property was so lovely and accommodating… Amazing to deal with. The house itself is super clean, just like the photos, has everything you need and so homely.

We loved the property! There was a slight issue with the WiFi not working downstairs but it was fine upstairs so not a big deal. Not an issue with the property as such but because we stayed at the height of the tourist season and drove, there were some days it was difficult to get into the multi storey car park next door which meant waiting for a space to become available or parking much further away.

It’s a stunning and spacious villa in a superb location close the lake, a lovely lakeside swimming area, fantastic bakery and restaurants. Also very handy for the botanical gardens and Villa Monastero. It had everything we needed including a well equipped kitchen and washing machine. We also had a lovely welcome pack of milk, juice, water, biscuits and bread. Having air conditioning in the summer was also very welcome. Liz is also a very accommodating and attentive host, replying to messages instantly, letting us check in a bit earlier on arrival day and providing advice on local restaurants.

Nothing not to like.

Brilliant location, would probably even say best location in the heart of Varenna. The house had everything you wanted, and Liz was super easy and friendly to communicate with. Villa central Varenna looked like a great place to book on booking.com, so I had high expectations from this place, but when we got there, it immediately superseded our expectations. There is nothing to fault about this property and could easily say it is the best accommodation we have had so far in the last six weeks we have been travelling. It's definitely worth a stay, and I would highly recommend this villa to anybody who was staying in Varenna.

If you need to adjust the temperature, it's required that you contact the host. I didn't feel comfortable contacting for that, especially in the middle of the night. While master shower is great, the other one is very small (but the second bathroom itself is also spacious), and the third bathroom has only a toilet and sink.

Luggage storage is located in that parking garage, literally next to the house. The house feels very homey, as you can find many items usually not available at rentals like this (for example, cling wrap, spices and condiments, a variety of hangers). A very short walk to a grocery store (It closes relatively early, so stock your kitchen in time! It's a small one but we couldn't find another. You may find more items in the morning as later they may run out of some). There was one taxi driver available at train station when we arrived, but it's good to get a taxi number from the host in advance, as it's a small town. Breathtaking views from the master bedroom on third floor.

There is one bedroom with a partial low ceiling protruding, which can hurt the head if not careful while getting up. But I am not letting it lower the rating.

The 3 level accommodation was exceptional for housing 2 families with 4 adults and 5 little kids. All amenities were provided, thereby making the stay very comfortable Some of the exceptional points included : 1. Milk, eggs,bread, Spices, Olive oil and many other things were provided as compliments ! This made it very easy to manage the munchkins ! 2. There were many board and card games which the children could play. 3. The host Liz was exceptional in answering questions. The replies were instantaneous, and much information was given to us when we asked on whatsapp. She gave us info on rental cars, taxi persons, tour maps, etc. thereby displaying excellent customer service. Very satisfied and Greatly recommended.

We had an absolutely amazing stay! The location is nothing short of spectacular—a true hidden gem that made our trip unforgettable. The villa exceeded every expectation: the design, comfort, and attention to detail were all outstanding. We especially loved having three bathrooms at our disposal, which made our mornings and evenings incredibly convenient and stress-free. The kitchen was fully equipped and served us perfectly for our meals, making cooking a delight. Every aspect of our visit was fantastic, and we felt truly pampered throughout our stay. The extra large bed on the top floor wasn’t very comfortable.

The house was very cosy and welcoming, with more than enough room for all of us. Kitchen was well set up and the living area large enough for all of us to relax in.

The apartment was a bit too chilly, but the fireplace did help. The mattress in the master bedroom was already quite bad.

The apartment was a spacious three-story unit. There were 8 of us staying, and we fit well, but the apartment would be ideal for 7 people. The location was very central and convenient. A nice surprise was that breakfast essentials were provided at the beginning.

Very close to road and tourist parking garage. Could get busy in this area but didn’t cause us any issues. Walking from boat or train was difficult. I suggest getting the local taxi number from owner and use that. They were very responsive.

Great location, literally across the street from Villa Monastero and Villa Cipressi gardens and just steps away from the main piazza. The home had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. The hosts also thoughtfully provided some basic breakfast items that were so handy to have on hand. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely nothing

Varenna is such a beautiful village. From the minute I booked the accommodation, our host, Liz was a joy to deal with. We got in touch through WhatsApp and from there, planning my itinerary was a breeze. The property is fabulous. It's spacious, clean and equipped with whatever you need to stay in comfort. We were there during winter. The heaters and the lovely fireplace made the property so warm and cosy. Perfect after exploring the town. The location of the property is ideal. Walking distance to the train station (we took a direct train to Milan Central to do some sightseeing and shopping) and to the piers. We took a ferry to visit Bellagio and Como. Liz was kind enough to send me the ferry timetable even before I reached Varenna. I didn't really know how to read the timetable and guess what, Liz helped me to plan my schedule and her planning was amazing. Gave me plenty of time to explore Bellagio and Como. Checking in and out was seamless. When we reached the property, we found that there were many foodstuffs such as eggs, cereals, milk, biscuits etc for us. It is really a lovely gesture and we appreciated it. Last but definitely not the least, I have to commend Liz for being an excellent host. She is so easy to deal with and she definitely made our stay in Varenna a very memorable one. She was my personal Google while I was there. It was my pleasure getting to know her. Grazie Liz 😃. If you ever decide to visit Varenna, I would highly recommend this property. It's amazing!
