Upon arrival the shower had an empty bottle of soap. I did let housekeeping know but they never replaced it.

It was very quiet and peaceful. It felt more like a residence vs a BB. The staff were very accommodating and polite. I would definitely stay again.

Great Villa situated overlooking the coast. The property had a fabulous swimming pool and grassed area with tables and chair to relax in. Although we only stay for one night on our way back to Rome we really enjoyed our time. We loved the Villas pet Pasquale (meerkat) he was super friendly and loved some fruit. The property is a 5 mins drive to town so close for getting meals but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. It also has secured on sight parking which is a bonus with a rental car. We would highly recommend anyone to stay. Karen & Keith Australia.

Franco and his wife Maria were just fantastic. They made us feel very much at home drove us to see the local sites. Welcome us with wine went out of their way to be accommodating. Wonderful people felt like you were visiting family.

The only disadvantage: the dogs in the neighborhood that often bark frequently for a long time. Finally, a suggestion: it would be nice if one could use an electric kettle in the room to make a simple coffee or tea on the terrace in the evening.

Spent a wonderful time at Villa Catalano last week. We had a great room, clean and new towels every day. A covered terrace and an outdoor terrace both overlooking the sea and a well-maintained garden with seating areas, barbecue and neat plants. There was a small cozy breakfast room where a delicious breakfast was ready every morning as a buffet and where they prepared a delicious coffee or tea for you on the spot. The people of Villa Catalano did everything they could to make us happy. Excellent and free parking at the villa, not to mention a beautiful swimming pool with sun loungers that we could enjoy. We would like to come back when we visit our friends in Paola again.

The location was a problem as it was a 10 minute taxi journey into Paola. There were no shops or supermarkets within walking distance. There was no on-site restaurant or shuttle service from the airport which was 1 hours drive from the hotel, although a local driver was made available to provide this service at a reasonable cost.

It was a lovely relaxing setting with views over the sea in the distance from the well maintained garden and balconies. It was a half hour walk to the nearest beach, so the swimming pool was a bonus. This was clean and well equipped with loungers and shower and toilet facilities

It was quiet and peaceful. It was safe. We had dinner one night at Anna Marias which was fabulous ( ask the owners about this, highly recommend) This Villa was superb. We wood definitely stay here again.

There was no bedside light in the second bedroom.

Maria was very friendly and greeted us cheerfully. The Villa felt more like a family home than a hotel. The pool area was lovely and we took a dip in the cool water and watched the sunset. Then Maria arranged for the most special meal of my life! She drove us to the historic center of Paola where we shared an elegant meal of hand prepared food, typical of the region. AnnaMaria, @daannamaria.homecooking makes special meals in her home. We shared our meal with her sister and nephew as we sat on the the patio overlooking the historic district and the Tower of St. Francis. It was a night I will never forget. We came as tourists and left as friends.

It was a bit old looking inside the rooms. They need to do a bit off a freshen up.

It was a bit ordinary. We have been travelling for a while and had eggs meat cheese options and granola but these were not available. On the bright side fresh orange juice.

Bathroom definitely needs an upgrade. Shower was small and not properly working. Wallpaper coming off... Too many useless things in the room and a decent TV was missing. They had one of this tiny one with decoder... REALLY BAD !!!

No water at all, to shower or brush our teeth, for 3 nights! We told staff, they said they would open their own water tank, after the 1st nite, they did not!!! We requested a refund, they refused! Not right! We requested a lower floor, they gave us the 3rd floor, they said they would change room, they did not! After I told them I had recent knee surgery.

Our host was amazing. We couldn’t figure out how to call a taxi on our cell phone, so he came, personally, and picked us up from the train station. He was so kind.
