How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was a bad smell of the food and cooking in the whole of the building which wasn't supportable!
It's near the train station, a good location near the city centre!

There were no cups to make hot tea. There was only one cup for all guests. There were plastic cups, but firstly, it's plastic and I don't use it; secondly, you can't pour hot water into it.
Good location - it's close to the railway and easy to reach on foot from the airport. The room and the common areas were clean.

Noisy. You can hear a lot of sounds from outside and from within building. Certain smell is present, probably from restaurant downstairs.
Comfortable bed. Location near train station and walkable to airport. Good location for transit.

Hard to find, only 1 very soft pillow that didn't support head.
location was very good, midway between the airport and the city centre made it a good central location for a weekend city break and didn’t need any motorised transport.

Weird smell in the entire apartment. Dirty toilets with pee all over which wasn't cleaned on request. The bed cover felt unclean

i stayed in room number one and there was a constant bad smell in the room, and the door handle was defective. The knob was constantly falling.
i like the cleanliness and location. It was very good to have free water in the refrigerator, plus a kitchen and a balcony.

The lift(elevator) is tight and old but works okay.
The place is very close to the train station and shops (for shopping and food). For it’s price, the accommodation is neat and clean with a very comfortable bed and complete facilities. It was quiet spacious for me and my friend.

Shared bathroom could have been advertised more clearly, and we had to google the number ring to get someone who didn’t look very professional to give us the keys.
Location was good (everything worth doing in Pisa was maximum a 20 minute walk from it) and it was all very clean.

Not good communication. The first night everything was okay. But the second night the one shower was broken by a guest and the other shower did not work. I contacted the property but no one responded. So we had to wash using the bidet and wash basin. Then someone came to check in new guests and when I told the man he was sorry and then they fixed it. But it was too late as we had to find a way before to clean ourselves. Then in the morning the one toilet was clogged with someone else’s mess and the other bathroom key had disappeared so we had to block the door with a chair to make sure no one just walked in. This is disappointing, but then again this is the other guests fault and not the properly. But I think the communication must be better as they do not respond on WhatsApp and on the booking chat they respond too late.
The room was clean and comfortable. Even the bathroom and kitchen were very clean. When you walk in there is a nice fresh smell in the apartment and even the room. Easily reachable to the city centre with the bus 1+ and so close to the train station.

There’s no reception so it’s better to inform the host to avoid time waste. It’s an old apartment where you share a flat with other guests. No kitchen and facilities to cook.
