How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No complaints about anything in 2023 - nothing again in 2025.
We also stayed here for 1 night in summer 2023 when we were travelling through Italy onwards to SW France. We liked it very much then, and it did not disappoint in 2025. Novara is a lovely place to break your journey, and there are plenty of restaurants in the old centre. It is also an easy train ride into Milan if you want to visit the city. Rooms are great, breakfast is wonderful, the host is really helpful.

Close to everything ,as soon as we booked all information came through codes to get in where they are etc couldnt of been more helpful,nice breakfast room lovely staff couldnt have done anymore,little bonus was recommended a resturant which they gave us voucher free bottle wine ,10 min walk but my god so worth food was amazing 👏

No elevator to the room. Luckily, the owner helped to bring the luggage up. No minibar in the room, fridge located in floor kitchenette.
Great location, safe internal parking, decent breakfast, very helpful staff. Nice home atmosphere!

The street the hotel is on goes to the city hospital, so you hear a lot of sirens. (However, this was not a problem when the windows were shut.)
Gianni clearly loves people and does everything he can to make your stay perfect. The room was modern, bright, clean, and comfortable. It's a short walk to the center of Novara. The parking in a closed courtyard is pratical and useful.

We liked everything about it.
This is a roomy apartment very near the city center. It was quiet and nice for sleeping even though you are in the middl of town. Well-equipped kitchen and large bathroom with good shower. You can walk to anywhere you would want to go. The off-street, gated parking is terrific.

This is a very comfortable room in a delightful guest house. The host, Gianni, is most accommodating. Don't miss the delicious breakfast in a charming room. The inside parking is great and well worth the 5 euro. We enjoyed the neighborhood, which had everything we needed.

Nothing. Everything was nice
The guest house is new and clean and it has parking. The room was big with a comfortable bed, big bathroom, and an amazing breakfast. The host Gianni is an exquisite person that will do anything to make your stay the greatest stay in Novara.

The housekeeper talked loudly in the morning when we were still sleeping…
The B&B is very well located in Novara. Close to a bus stop and also to the old center of the city. It’s very clean, very cosy and affordable. It was our second time there, and we will come back.

Really good property and the owner was extremely helpful. Quiet and peaceful but nice and close to the city centre. Great to have off-road secure parking.

Almost getting locked out, due to needing two access codes before getting into the hotel corridor.
Modern building with well-appointed common areas. Simple, stylish decor and elegant bathroom. Bed was comfortable despite being two singles together.
