We like everything about the hotel it is located just far enough from the city so as to be away from the crowds , The hotel fronts onto the sea & if you like swimming you can take a dip & then stroll along the beach, or use the hotel pool .

Location ….near the beach & a free launch ride to the city . Great contact with General Manager ( Edvado Brito ) who despite size of the property has time for his guests. This is a lovely traditional hotel in a great location , we have stayed several times & keep coming back We took our granddaughter with us this time & she loved it too.

The beach cabanas were absolutely not worth paying for. We left ours and returned to the pool which was much better. From the pool it’s easy to walk to the sea if you would want to swim there but the pool was better (except for occasional misbehaved children).

We were assigned a top-floor room that was quiet (without anyone upstairs) and we had a nice walk-out balcony. THe weather was cool enough during our stay (in late July!) so that we were able to open the balcony doors for fresh and cool air. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfy; not too hard and not too soft. The breakfast buffet was outstanding in variety and quality and Donatella kept the staff organized such that we never waited for anything. She was terrific! And the pool was very nice; the area was large and it seemed there were lounge chairs and umbrellas available for everyone. The water shuttle to San Marco was convenient!

Everything was perfect. The one tiny critique was that the housekeeping staff didn’t take our used cups and glasses which we left out on the side in an obvious place to be changed over.

The hotel is stunning, so original, the history in itself is all part of the experience. The whole hotel is of excellent quality. The breakfast was outstanding, the pool is fabulous for children and families and big enough for guests travelling without children to have their own space.

They helped us for early checkin. The staff was very polite. It is very nice and free of charge that you can always get to the center of Venice by boat. The rooms were clean. Most importantly, there was a special area in the toilet for washing buttocks. This made me fall in love with the hotel. I can say that this is my biggest problem in my European visits.

Beautiful hotel with lovely facilities, great food. The staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble, we have stayed here twice now and will hopefully visit again. The pool and surroundings are very well maintained and kept very clean pool staff were fabulous. Food is fabulous and gorgeous rooms.

Only one comment ...better lighting over the bathroom mirror and also over shower/bath, would be an improvement. But it did not worry us that much.

Cannot praise this hotel any higher. A wonderful week's stay.

We were in a classic room and it was twin beds but we had booked a large one , this was the only gripe

It was perfect ! We loved the hotel, and the history of it , our room and the communal areas, pool and private dock were all stunning. Most of the time we were the only ones using the boat service to Venice and it was amazing arriving and leaving saint marks square like that . The staff were all wonderful and helpful, breakfast selection was huge and the food quality was good. Very clean hotel and grounds, the staff and the service were impeccable
