How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Luca is very helpful and provided very helpful suggestions for our trip to Venice. The location is ideal for a late night flight. There is a bus stop and cafe 5 minutes from the B&B which is very convenient.

Air con would have been great in the summer heat but we knew that it wasn't available
Luca was super helpful (thank you) and the location is great, quiet yet walking distance to the airport. The room we knew on booking was very basic but were pleased to find mosquito netting on the window and two fans were provided as well as, on request, a kettle.

Occasional hallway noise, bathroom was humid, one bed was a little too soft. Overall still good value, clean and safe. Honestly though, hard to complain since it was better than many US motels.
Helpful host (thanks Luca!), walkable to airport (we left at 4am for an early flight and had no issues), great A/C, clean linens, good room size, safe residential area with a few restaurant options nearby, easy check-out

The location near the airport - 20 minutes by walk. The accommodation was simple, clean and quiet. Comfortable beds. Luca is very friendly and helpful host, explained about everything that is around! P.S. Below, there is a pedestrian path to the lagoon, and also benches where you can observe the planes and nature, in a quiet.

Lovely place, very convenient for the early morning flights, 20 minutes by walk to the airport, a few restaurants nearby. Friendly host, explained in detail how to get to the hotel and to the airport. There’s a drinking water in the room and everything that is needed in the bathroom, including towels. Just take your slippers.

I would have preferred free travel to and from the Airport to save the walking we did. But we survived the walk.
The location was perfect for our situation. We had to wait 24 hours for a flight and didn't want to sleep in the airport.

I’m not sure whether he provided towels or not; however, bathrooms were very clean.
Luca spoke good English and I really appreciated that. Unfortunately, I don’t speak Italian. He was helpful and thoughtful. The Lagoon House was clean and looked after. There were restaurants close by for a good meal and it was close enough to the airport to walk to in the morning.

For the price and location, it was as expected. Great price for close to the airport with decent facilities and friendly host! So there was nothing that I did not like.
Luca was very friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed talking to him and how he made me feel comfortable especially as travelling alone. He was genuinely interested and caring.

The shower wasn't the best, but that's me being picky.
Loved that this place is so close to the airport. Took me about 20 minutes to walk. The owner Luca was very kind and helpful with all our questions. It's definitely a great place to get some sleep before a departure.

One of our rooms did not have any Aircon which was unfortunate as it was very hot and humid.
The b&b was a short walk from the airport which meant it was very convenient for us as our flight landed at 01:30. The check in procedure was really simple at that time and we were given very helpful instructions on how to get to Venice island in the morning.
