The place wasn’t the cleanest, and the locker locks didn’t seem very reliable, you could open them even when locked by pulling a bit hard. However, I didn’t lose any of my belongings, so overall it felt safe. Rooms are not locked.

It’s a 5-minute walk from Roma Termini, so the location is perfect. The building has a lift, which is great if you’re carrying luggage. Lockers are provided, and the staff is very helpful.

couch and chairs..like that is not normal. there are HOLES. trash trash trash doors were hard to open - its not nice when someone is still sleeping, you wanna go out but the doors make a lot of noice

It's an old apartment located on the 5th floor of an old building, not far from Termini Station. The staff is not very welcoming; some don't even respond when greeted. On the first night, at 11 p.m., some people were speaking loudly, making it sound like an argument. Personally, I didn't really like it.

The water in the kitchen sometimes doesn’t work, the stove, the oven and the microwave all don’t work. The hot water in the shower comes and goes. I notified the owner that I will leave the night before my checkout and he gave away my bed to someone else two nights before, I don’t mind the mistake, but when he found out about the mistake he kept playing on his phone until I insisted he fix it right away.

1.) The freezer compartment of the fridge was frozen solid and could not be used. When I asked one of the staff about it, he simply stated that it was broken. Honestly, it's not hard to defrost a fridge, especially a small one like that, so this struck me as simple laziness. 2.) They liked to turn off the room AC when they came in to clean @ 1400. I understand the need to clean, but why does the AC need to be turned off? Bro, It's summer! Also, I was working at the desk in the room when he came in to clean and asked me to leave. It wasn't a big deal; I moved to the kitchen, but I've never had this happen before. In the past, I've always had staff clean around me or clean something else and come back...not Hotel Varese. 3.) Kitchen sink water does not get hot enough to properly wash and sanitize utensils and cookware. 4.) The shower's water pressure is kind of weak, and the shower head hose is short, so you will have a hard time washing your head if you are tall. 5.) Depending on the # of nights to be spent at the property, a city tax is required to be paid in cash upon arrival. I guess this is standard practice for hotels in Rome, but it was mentioned cryptically in the booking confirmation email; this was fishy to me and just seemed like bad business. 6.) The area is not bike-friendly. I rented a bike from a few blocks away, and I thought I would have a nice place to store it within the gated entryway. This was not the case; the building attendant quickly appeared and told me that bikes are not allowed to be parked there. There are no bike racks nearby, so make sure your bike is equipped with a kickstand. The best option I found was a designated scooter parking area, but there was usually very little space to squeeze in. 7.) Finally, the pictures of the kitchen need to be updated to more accurately reflect its current condition and there is no on-site convenience store as described.

1.) I liked that a balcony was provided because I was able to hang-dry my laundry just like the locals, and it was a good place just to hang out and listen to the din of Rome. 2.) The AC unit in the room worked great (when it was turned on). 3.) It was nice to have two functioning toilets because one of the toilets is located in the only shower room, and that would've been tough with so many guests. The location is very secure; when everything has been shut and locked, you have to use the keys issued to you to get through three doors.

The pictures are not like reality. There is a very weird smell in the whole place and the cleanliness is really really bad. Luckily I always have my personal sheets and towels because it was beyond disgusting.

The staff were helpful. I honestly only booked it because I needed a place to stay in for a couple of hours, if this is your goal go for it but if you're looking for comfortness and cleanliness then absolutely no. The people who were actually staying in the place were really nice as well

The check in process is not the best. I provided my arrival time, they replied, I arrived at the time agreed; but nobody was there. I had to wait outside for around 15 mins waiting for someone to arrive.

The facilities are a bit old, there's no washing machine, and sometimes you need to wait to use the bathroom because there's just two of them.

The staff are nice and the general atmosphere of the hostel is pleasant and cosy, making it a good choice for a long stay

I reported 2 lights not working & 2 days later they had not been fixed - the light above the mirror in the shared bathroom would have been useful when I was shaving; the lampstand in my dorm didn't have a light bulb. The glass-top dining table had been broken with a slightly rough edge on 1 side. The dorm room & dining/kitchen room looked "tired" and in need of tidying up & painting. There were no decent glasses for drinking, just a shot glass & a recycled nutella jar.

Location: It was easily accessible to the main train terminal, both to & from the airport, and also for travel around Rome. there were plenty of cafes/restaurants & a supermarket to buy food. It only had 3 dorm rooms & mine had 4 beds, lockable storage & a balcony (5 floors up so could be left open for fresh air).

It is very near to Roma Termini. It is centrally placed. The price is pocket friendly.
