How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe place is in the country so it is quiet. You can stay there to relax by the beautiful pool or you can use it as a base to visit the many towns around it. Everything is in good shape and very clean. The host is very nice and useful for giving information about things to do in the area.
There are rooms that are in a trulo (2 rooms), and others that aren’t in a trulo. Make sure that you choose the correct room so you won’t be disappointed. Non-trulo rooms are the standard rooms. It is quite an experience to stay in a trulo.

Verified reviewThe property is very beautiful and perfectly maintained while being kept in its original state. The location is just 10 minutes driving from the center of Alberobello and offers peace and relax. Antonisia is the perfect host and makes you immediately feel at home. I was offered home made cookies and pastries as well as a good coffee on arrival. I am sure I am going back since there is a lot more to see!

Verified reviewIt is a very beautiful place, about ten fifteen minutes to two interesting town. Very quiet and clean. The host is a nice and helpful person. If I was to go back to Puglia. I would not hesitate and rent at Trulli House. The pool is particularly appreciated.

Verified reviewWe had a great stay here with the lovely host, Antonisia. Not only was it easy to communicate but she was very helpful and provided us with a lot of local knowledge. We especially enjoyed her home cooked breakfast with local ingredients!

Verified reviewThe host, Antonisia, was very nice and helpful. She prepared a good breakfast. The facility is outside Alberobello, about 12 minutes travel time, which is not too much, but the roads are very narrow and dark. The return from Alberobello at evening, after having a dinner, was a little scary. The facility is quite close to Locorotundo, Martina Franca and Cisternino, so we had time to visit them.

The bed was very uncomfortable. It felt like sleeping on just the box spring. The WIFI was very unreliable

The description and picture and misleading. The price is very high for what you get. There is NO Infinity pool. Private pool means for the property. The mini bar only has water. No wellenss seen ..Aircon was not working. One lady has to do all herself. No bar and No reception and breakfast all together at one big table. The stay was nice allthough very expensive for what one gets.

I think that now with booking.com we will evaluate your very false words! in the services there is air conditioning that you did not activate simply with a touch! in the services it is mentioned that there is NOT the bar! Therefore why do you sign it in a negative form if in fact there is not! you found the water in a glass bottle both sparkling and still! you asked for two more! you did not pay! you found courtesy in the trullo room with coffee and coffee machine, the pool in my b&b is infinity! you asked to stay in the pool after check out for another 3 hours, you. I also left the room available for this time, you asked me every morning for breakfast 2/3 extra coffees, for 3 mornings for breakfast! obviously free! you mention in the review that I do all the work myself! I do not see where your problem is? you wrote in the negativity that the photos do not correspond to reality! I'm sorry but it is not so! I work with dedication at my b&b. Verified reviewTrullisia is situated just outside of Alberobello but easily reachable by 10 min car trip. It is perfectly located to enjoy a quite rest and you can enjoy the day next to the pool and then in the evening go to Alberobello when all the tourists have left. That way you can enjoy Alberobello without the crowds. I also suggest Locorotondo and Cisternino which are beautiful and a short drive away. Antonisia was a great host and she saw that we had all we needed. She even gave us a brief history of the place and how a trullo is built. We stayed in a trullo for that extra magical experience! Looking forward to return!
