Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Saudi ArabiaThe building is old and a historic one so not comparable with new modern hotels. The car is a challenge for parking.
Well it is with in the Galleria building, if you got the room with small balcony it will give you the views. Staff of the concierge’s are so helpful

AustraliaThe extremely rude guests arriving last to their rooms at night and the noise that came with them. I do not expect people too be silent but it is respectful in a hotel at late hours you keep the noise to a minimum. Being such an old building I am not sure if there is a way to soundproof the rooms more? There was construction occurring next door. That is life in any city! There was no construction noise after work finished so fairly quiet for an hotel right in the middle of it all.
The room was huge! Nice to spread out for a few days! The location was second to none! Everything totally accessible literally out the front door. The staff were all so accommodating and pleasant. Breakfast and coffee were very good.

SwitzerlandWhat I didn’t like was that the room was smaller than I had expected when I booked the suite. The photos are taken in a way that is a bit misleading and give the impression that you’re getting something more spacious than what you actually receive—at least that was my perception. I also didn’t like that the hotel lists "parking" as a feature, but doesn’t have its own parking spaces. Upon request, they take your car to a public garage (I assume), and charge EUR 70 per day, which is extremely expensive considering how much the room itself already costs per night. The price-performance ratio is completely off—you’re mainly paying for the location.
The staff is very friendly, and the location is excellent (almost too central). The hotel and the rooms are very clean and stylishly furnished with a designer touch. The hotel is located in the Galleria in Milan, and the Duomo is just 50 meters away—right when you exit the Galleria on one side. We really liked the bed, as the mattresses are not too soft but firm enough—we slept well. The air conditioning in the room works well, which was essential since it was already 33/34 degrees Celsius in Milan during our two days at the end of June. You can drive your car up a side street right to the entrance. The breakfast is sufficient!

EgyptNeed to focus on housekeeping. the room was not clean when I arrived. However, the team was attentive and made sure the room was spotless throughout my whole stay. Please make sure the room is clean before checking in the guest.
The hotel staff was wonderful. From the moment I arrived, the team was friendly and ensured a smooth, efficient check-in. A special thanks to Mina at the front office for his support throughout my stay, and to Karolina at concierge—without them, my trip wouldn’t have been the same. Karolina gave my parents andI the best experience in Milan with excellent restaurant recommendations and a beautiful Lake Como itinerary. The hotel’s design is stunning, and the location is perfect. Big thanks to the management for assembling such an attentive, thoughtful, and solution-oriented team. Thank you from the bottom of my heart—I will definitely return when I'm back in Milan.

PanamaDouble lock on door was almost impossible to turn. Staff promised to fix it, but that didn't happen, so I felt insecure. The rooftop pizzeria was very mediocre and overpriced. Staff there were unfriendly.
Breakfast buffet selections were varied, and there were also a la carte options. Location couldn't be more central - right in the Galleria, and easy walking distance to most attractions.

AustraliaThe Galleria is pretty noisy at night - drunks and dimwits come in to check out the acoustics (by shouting and screaming) and when they aren’t do that there is noisy cleaning equipment being used at all hours of the night. The shutters go some way to blocking it out.
Being in the centre of Milano was great, and having a view from our balcony into the Galleria was special. The room was beautiful, comfortable and large. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were very good.

We used to stay at the hotel in 2023 and absolutely loved it at that time, that's why returned for the second time, while this time it was not great at all. Last time it was easier to check in a bit early, but this time even after asking to check in just some minutes early, the staff seemed to be quite unsupportive and overall hotel is not suitable to stay with the baby, as staff seemed to be uncomfortable with that, though the room and view were amazing.
