Could have used more shelves or drawers to put clothes. That’s a minor detail compared to how wonderful the place is.

A Florentine gem combining original architectural details with modern amenities. Spacious bedrooms, clean and modern bathrooms, spotlessly clean, superb location. The host and owner, Andrea, is very personable and amusing; he gives the place a lot of character. He always wanted to insure our comfort and made dinner reservations and gave us a lot of great info about places to visit.

We liked everything.

The location was great, just one block from the Duomo. Breakfast featured a wide variety of foods including home made pastries which were delightful. The host was exceptionally attentive and even shared his dog with my wife (who was missing her own puppies). It's a very nice B&B.

Being asked if we wanted room service everyday. I think it just be automatically expected and included.

Central location which was ideal as we walked everywhere. Clean and comfortable. It had the best mattress. Andrea our host was super helpful and his suggestions to eating out were excellent. Andrea was also helpful with local knowledge especially as we happened to be there on a public holiday. Breakfast was adequate. Would stay there again.

Last fall when my son gave me the gift of a trip to Italy, we stayed our first days at La Casa del Ghiberti. This lovely B&B in the historic center of Florence was the perfect introduction to a place I had wanted to visit since I was a girl. Location: Surrounded by history and close to everything we wanted to see. A quiet neighborhood next to the piazza where the iconic Gothic cathedral known as Duomo and the Baptistry stand. An easy walk to many other Medieval and Renaissance treasures, including the Uffizi Gallery, the gallery with Michelangelo’s David and the Ponte Vecchio, an ancient bridge lined with shops and apartments. Close by another vibrant shopping district with distinctive stores and restaurants. Our room: Large and elegant with windows that open to a view of a picturesque building across the way. Large, gleaming, modern bathroom with the best shower I’ve ever had on a trip, a separate bathtub and room for a bench, which I found to be a thoughtful convenience for getting dressed. Beautiful decor and best of all, the painted and wood inlay ceiling above a very comfortable bed. Elevator: Vintage style, excellent working order and so charming that I loved using it even though our room was only one flight up. Breakfast: Good selection of foods served buffet style in a sunlit room and always waiting for us even when we slept in late with jet lag. Our host Andrea made our stay extra special: Welcomed us with enthusiasm. Soon asked to call me grandma because I reminded him of his own grandmother but also, I believe, because he wanted me to feel at home. Gave us help when we needed carrying bags upstairs, getting a taxi on a holiday when taxis are scarce. Gave us advice on places to eat and discreetly looked out for us our first evening to make sure we had found one in the neighborhood. Impressed us with how much pride, knowledge and care he has for his place, his neighborhood and city. Made us feel he cared about us and made us laugh.

What a marvellous find! This boutique B&B was exceptional in every way...from the location, the extremely comfortable room and of course not forgetting the very friendly and helpful host! Can't recommend this B&B enough! Wish we could've stayed longer!

The host, Andrea, is absolutely amazing! He provided great recommendations and assistance when requested. The property was beautiful, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious and the terrace provided a nice place to enjoy your coffee. We did not want to leave! We would highly recommend this exceptional B&B.

Comfortable bed, large room and bathroom , great shower. Perfect location close to everything. Very walkable on a quiet street . Andrea was a perfect host and It felt like visiting an old friend . Lola the little dog was so sweet . When we visit Florence again we will definitely stay here !!!

Just to warn you, the host has a sarcastic humor that we enjoyed. If you are sensitive, you may be offended.

The host was a hoot and cracked us up! Very fun...and he has a beautiful little dog named Lola who is extremely loveable. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed. Large bathroom and shower. Location is a couple blocks walk to The Duomo. Breakfast was very nice with fruits and pastries and coffee choices. The host was nice enough to also schedule a taxi to take us to the airport for our very early flight. Highly recommend this B&B
