Even if we stayed at Torre di Ponzano just for one night it was enough to leave our hearts there. The owners were so helpful, funny and full of positive energy. The room was bright and spacious and the view amazing. We will come again first for the lovely owners and secondly for the beautiful place. Grazie Mille!!!

Bear in mind this is still the countryside / village, so some insects like mosquitoes are common, unpaved access road (gravel) for about 500m, etc.

First of all Andrew and Alba are amazing as hosts - the check in process (featuring homemade Sangria that Alba made) lasted for about an hour because we got carried away with interesting discussions, their recommendations what to visit and where to eat (all really worth it), etc. Although there is no breakfast served, everyday they would leave some groceries in our room / fridge and we would have enough for a fulfilling breakfast. The location is really convenient as it is in the middle of Tuscany and you can drive and visit pretty much everything within 30 mins to an hour. The accommodation is quite beautiful and the surrounding nature is calm and serene with amazing views.

The owners, Andrew and Alba, were very gracious and knowledgeable of the area. The building is historic, but well kept, with everything necessary to have a fine stay. The pool looked magnificent, but it was rainy and/ or too cool out to use. It is in a great location for exploring Tuscany and even as far as Assisi! Restaurant suggestions and a reservation were helpful. Alba surprised us with treats a number of times, that were delightful. The setting is surrounded by olive trees and grapevines!

Everything was absolutely lovely, it felt like a wedding venue that is how pretty it is. We loved the location, in the middle of the vineyards and with a beautiful view. You can reach Siena and Florence easily within 20-30 minutes by car. There is enough to do in the area such as wine tasting, restaurants, but just chilling by the pool for a day is also lovely. Nothing in the area is walking distance so a car is mandatory but there are great restaurants within 5-10 minutes. The hosts are so amazing as well with great tips for the area and parking. The room was cleaned daily and we even received cookies, new coffee and tea everyday and bread and toaster are also provided. We could not have wished for a better place. Although we are people who keep to themselves, we enjoyed the chats as well. We stayed the second week of September and it did rain quite a lot (unlucky!!) and was a bit chilly sometimes but we still enjoyed the room and the nearby cities a lot.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like.

"This is not a hotel, let me show you around and where you will be sleeping" - these were the words of the owner that sum up the best the experience we have ever had when traveling. Alba and her husband made us feel like we went at our grandparents. The rooms were cleaned daily and they always left stuff like homemade cake, fresh milk, water, tea, coffee and bread. The rooms are equiped with all the essentials plus a microwave, mocca machine and toaster. Its has a beautiful view and the pool is taken care with a lot of pride by the owners. The owner also played us piano when he saw us enjoying aperitivo in the garden. They made sure we had all the information we needed to make the most out of our honeymoon. The place is minutes away from most of the attractions and some of the most beautiful wineries. Thank you for the amazing experience and we can't wait to see you again.

I did not like that we had to leave after two weeks, back to our 'normal' & busy - working - life

It's all about location, location, location, cleaness and friendly staff. Our expectations were exceeded: Location is central to visit beautiful places in the area, the location itself is located on a excellent spot: quiet, superb view and easy to find. Last but not least the location itself is a beautiful house and we loved the room + the very nice & clean swimming pool. On top of that all staff members are very friendly. Especially Andrew & Alba are so friendly and helpful, it was amazing!

Not one single thing!

The incredibly gorgeous views around the Torre rival Sonny and Alba’s warmth and hospitality. We could not have chosen a better “base camp” between Florence and Siena and all of the charming little towns in between. Their home is cozy and we rarely even heard other guests, despite knowing they were there. So much learned through Sonny and Alba’s sharing their knowledge and experiences, and we will treasure our time spent there forever.

Andrew and Alba were just amazing! The place was great and they are great hosts. We spent some time with them and with other guests and had the chance to spend an amazing evening playing Andrew's piano and singing all together. The location is great and the main attractions of the region are all within an hour distance. Great experience!

Nothing - we loved it all! But you do need a car when staying here.

The location is amazing - right in the heart of Tuscany Chianti region. Gorgeous farmhouse with incredible views, rooms that feel like home from home, and a pool for when you want to chill after exploring! Sonnie and Alba were amazing hosts - every recommendation they gave us was phenomenal! From wine tasting, to parking in Sienna to local restaurants - they can’t do enough for you and are such lovely people. Would definitely recommend this for a truly rustic Tuscan experience and would love to go back!

We loved staying here, the location is great for exploring Tuscany and the view from the garden is magnificent. Andrew and Alba made our stay very comfortable and we super helpful. The building is a an old watch tower and converted into a beautiful guest house. The pool area is also wonderful. We’d love to come back for a longer stay!
