Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe fact that i cannot permanently live there is a bit frustrating but such is life.
This is a former mansion converted in the heart of the Roman city centre, a couple minutes walk to all the main attractions, yet completely privatised and calm. The property boasts a restaurant called All’Oro listed on the Michelin guide, which comes in partnership with the hotel as the hotel’s opulence is a perfect match. Every member of staff is a highly trained professional and you simply NEVER have to explain yourself or compromise your comfort, the luxury is supreme and absolute. I stayed there for 2 weeks with my wife and newborn during the busiest time of the summer and I always felt like I was the only guest in the hotel, as far as commitment and priority is concerned. I marvel at the planning and strategy of this hotel, led by decorated hotelier and director Mr. Dario Segnalini, with the meticulous care of Karen and Fatima during the day, while Joseph, Daniele, and Marco during the evening shifts. I simply arrive at the hotel, with bags, or covered in beach sand, and they’re ready to greet us and boost our mood and cover all bases for us so we can enjoy. I have stayed at all the leading 5 star hotels in Rome and I am born here, despite my international life at the moment I can guarantee there is simply no place that does it like The Haven in Rome. If you’re lucky enough to find a place here, as it is limited and exclusive, you will realise that there simply is no competition. Thank you for your commitment to excellence and for showing the word how it’s done. ❤️🙏 You are my home away from home.

United KingdomI can’t fault anything.
This hotel is a hidden gem. It’s the most gorgeous boutique hotel that I’ve come across. We stayed here for two nights with our 3 teenage boys. The service is very personal, the rooms are impeccable and the general atmosphere in the hotel is warm and friendly. We were allowed into our rooms as soon as we arrived after a long journey which we really appreciated. And we didn’t have to check out until early afternoon when our taxi was picking us up so there was no hanging around at all. They gave us two rooms next to each other as they knew we would want to be close to our children. They really put themselves in the customers shoes when it comes to the service they provide. I would highly recommend!

United Arab EmiratesThere is not much to write. We would have liked to have some vegetables with the breakfast but maybe it's Italian breakfast style. I don't know. On the terrace there was a smell from the restaurant because all the vents are going next to it. Maybe this can be improved somehow.
Excellent boutique hotel in Rome. Superb service. Very pleasant stay. We had the Suite with terrace. The bed was amazing. In the bathroom there was a HUGE bathtub with jacuzzi functions. You could fit 3 or 4 people in it. :) There was a bottle of cold sparkling wine waiting for us. Nice accent. The terrace was beautiful with a view to the H.C. Andersen museum across the street. Someone took care about out luggage and it was delivered to our room (there is a stairway to the reception but I guess there is another way for people on wheelchairs or walking problems). There is a parking available for 40 EUR/night. The location is OK for Rome. You can walk to the attractions if you like to walk several km or take a taxi. Most of the times we walked as we like to explore. The breakfast was good. It's a standard breakfast and you can add scrambled/fried eggs, omlet or pancakes. There is also a Michelin * restaurant but we were too busy and too tired to go there as we stayed only one night and we had some plans in Rome. Maybe next time.
