Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomEvrything was great . It was our first time in Gallipoli so was a bit difficult to walk from port where you have to park to the hotel .if is an easy 10minutes walk but might be difficult if you carry suitcases. But take offer of Matheia and ask him to provide you with transport from port to hotel .
It is an absolute gem a beautiful palace . In the middle of old town Matheia. Was fantastic with all information and advise . The roof top is magic . If you want to go as a couple go for the suite it’s amazing .

This is a wonderful small guesthouse in a perfect central location for both the old town and beach. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and cool in August temperatures. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and breakfast is excellent, with many choices. Evening aperitivi on the roof terrace were a lovely gesture and we enjoyed meeting other guests. We very much enjoyed our stay.

PortugalNothing. All perfect.
Located in the historic center of Gallipoli and 2 minutes away from the beach. Comfortable and well-maintained facilities. Mattia and Celeste were always available for whatever we needed. We thank you both, and also to the cleaning ladies (of which I do not know their names). They were all very friendly and made us feel at home. Torneremo sicuramente. Grazie.

United KingdomThis is a great location to explore Gallipoli from, about 30 min walk from the railway station straight down Corsa Roma and very easy to find. We were lucky enough to be upgraded from our room to the Elisabetta Suite which was beautifully furnished. We were made very welcome and enjoyed especially the roof-top terrace, a feature that really should be exploited further with its views across the city.

United StatesI would have like to stay longer.
Great location and hotel to stay for a short or extended visit. The location was in the heart of the old city. The staff was outstanding and very helpful. Great views and relaxation on the top balcony, fantastic to enjoy a few drinks. We were lucky to stay there, traveling off peak season, so not sure we would have been availability during the summer rush. Try the roasted almonds.

CanadaThe Crown Palace is a gorgeous renovated hotel in an ancient building and it is stunning! The comfortable rooms are very large and the decor features tasteful antiques. The location is excellent. There are good quality linens and toiletries. Our bathroom was very large as was the excellent shower. The breakfast includes fruit, juices, eggs to your taste, cheeses, meat and sweets, etc.. There is a very large rooftop terrace with many tables and chairs and umbrellas. It is beautiful! Mathia, our exceptional host holds wine tastings on the terrace, weather permitting. He is a sommelier and gives good explanations. Mathia and the rest of the staff were very caring and helpful. We felt so pampered. We loved it there and stayed 6 days! Recommended.

SwitzerlandEverything was just perfect.
We stayed four nights at this beautifully renovated historic palazzo in the heart of old town Gallipoli. You cannot drive to the hotel, but secure parking just a 10min walk away was organized by hotel staff. Highlight is the carefully decorated rooftop terrace on two levels with stunning views over the town and the sea. Staff was lovely and went out of their way to malke our stay perfect. Host Mattia served us an aperitiv every evening on the terrace with local wine and delicacies and took the time to tell us all about the wine and the food. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, and there was even a chef who prepared specialty items! We had a wonderful and relaxing time, would definitely stay there again and can only recommend the Crown Palace!

IrelandBreathtakingly beautiful accommodation. Best host EVER! Superb location. We can't say enough good about this elegant, charming, exquisitely restored ancient building; its decor, architecture, facilities, comfort, roof terrace, and staff. WOW factor in evidence everywhere. Such careful attention to every detail from the ever helpful Matteo and staff - genuinely classy place. I don't usually describe my review scores - but this is special! We stayed 7 nights with 2 teenage children. Super comfortable beds & pillows, ensuite, air con, all mod cons - too many extras to mention. 10 out of 10!
