Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I loved the location, the pool, Elisa at front desk was SUPER friendly and helped us book another night very quickly. Breakfast was also very delicious. The gentleman who manages the bar and the courtyard was also super nice - but I can't remember his name!

United StatesThe only disappointing time was our last evening where there were several children running around in the formal dining room, then up & down the hallways where the bedrooms were: loud is being polite . I complained to a staff member but it seems the parents where reluctant to stop their own…
Loved the countryside location, the room was huge, all the staff, the wine bar/restaurant and the amazing tour of the property, including the animal farm, the store filled with their own produce, cheeses & wines!

United KingdomCommunication was tricky and a bit stressful before arrival. All good once we were there. I would have loved some more vegan options at breakfast - e.g. non-dairy milk.
Once we were there everything was perfect. Lovely setting and room.

ItalyIn the heart of Maremma lies Antica Fattoria La Parrina, a pastoral haven where time seems to stand still. This venerable estate, cradled by sun-kissed hills and the whispering sea, offers a tableau of vineyards and olive groves, yielding nectar and oil fit for the gods. The manor house, a rustic gem, exudes timeless elegance, inviting guests to revel in its historical charm. Here, hospitality is an art, with tables brimming with local delicacies and wine that enraptures the senses. La Parrina is a sanctuary where the modern world fades away, leaving only the serene rhythms of nature and the simple pleasures of rural life.

United StatesI wouldn't change a thing about this place. We arrived late and even on the off-season we were treated with a full suite of hospitality and we truly enjoyed getting to visit around the whole property and hike the olive trees.
The breakfast was spectacular. The farm experience was fulfilling, we got to walk the vineyards, groves, and saw several herds of animals in the pastures. The food was simple and elegant. If you get to try the ricotta panna cotta you won't ever forget it!

New ZealandThe entrance to the property was difficult to find. From the turn off the main road, there should be signs showing the direction to the main house, especially as it is set back quite a distance from the main road.
We had a wonderful large room with a separate dressing room and a big bathroom. It was warm with good soft lighting and plenty of couch seating. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The breakfast room was bright and airy, breakfast selection was excellent, the bonus being we could order eggs to be cooked for us. Eliza, who checked us in, made an excellent recommendation for dinner in nearby Albinia as their ristorante was not open that night.

United StatesThere was absolutely nothing I did not like about my experience, aside from my stay being too short!
Antica Fattoria La Parrina was one of the most beautiful places I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. From the rustic, quiet, and spacious room you have immediate access to a working farm producing incredible wines, cheeses, and other goods. The location is prime for stunning walks through the countryside or sitting and relaxing in the peaceful surroundings of nature. The staff was incredibly friendly and ensured we were taken care of for our every need. The property hosts a restaurant that was perfect for a lovely evening meal with delicious dishes made with local ingredients. The breakfast was equally wonderful, with many of the food options being made right at that very farm. The property also hosts a store carrying wines and cheeses made on-site, as well as many other good options, all available at shockingly high quality and low prices. I cannot believe the beauty of this property and will be returning to stay again in the future.

United States1) No salt, pepper, or other basics in the kitchen--no paper towels even--so you have to bring absolutely everything you need when making your own meals. Which meant buying salt and pepper grinders at the store, and so on. 2) The portable AC unit in the room had no exhaust vent pipe--so it was useless, spilling hot air out one end while cool air came out the other. It needed a hose to vent the exhaust through a door or window. None could be found. 3) The dinners were disappointing, mostly because of seasonings and cooking details--one evening every dinner at our table of four was heavily oversalted to the point of being...inedible. It's odd because the breakfasts were so good--the baked pastries delicious. I wish the morning baker was also making evening desserts...and overseeing the evening kitchen 4) We loved the farm and animals, but wish there was a better guide about them--not just a map of the entire farm--but also a guide listing things to see and do. We somehow overlooked the wine cellar/tours, it wasn't clear there are any? 5) They have great postcards of the farm! But no stamps to mail them, alas. I loved to be able to sit down on our terrace, enjoy wine and write postcards, then discover we could not post them....it would help to have some stamps for sale at the reception.
We loved our visit to La Parrina, there is so much to like there--the people were warm, the pool was great, the store totally terrific, the red wine really excellent, the rooms comfortable (for the most part)--especially liked the braying donkeys and the views from the room--and the terrace with a table for meals.
