Nothing. This place is PERFECTION !!!

This place is one of the most beautiful places we stayed in on our trip! We booked it in the last minute and were blown away by it. First, the host, Giusy, is absolutely wonderful. She made us feel right at home and was so nice and kind and literally made us feel like we are with an old friend. Second, the room was beautiful, breakfast was great as well, but most impressive was the view! oh what a view! It was out last night in Toscany and we couldn't ask for anything more! We literally were thinking of gatekeeping this place and not telling anyone about it so we can keep it all to ourselves, but we just couldn't be so cruel :)

Very nice place. A wonderfully equipped villa. The staff and service are excellent. Everything smelled of Tuscan style. Breakfast was plentiful and really tasty. It is worth ordering dinner, the chef will surprise you with a special menu prepared for that evening. A wonderful place for a cozy, comfortable vacation.

Couldn't really improve anything IMO.. perhaps update the decor in the room a little but then again this was in the traditional tuscan style. Honestly this hotel is really amazing..

The location, the wine, the food, the hospitality all first class. Genuinely one of the finest places I have stayed. The staff were super helpful and the quality of the food, wine - really great.

I can’t even think of something I didn’t like! Everything was wonderful

Our stay here was the highlight of our trip! Loved their hospitality and attention to detail. We felt like family staying here. I unfortunately was feeling very sick for a few days but they were very attentive and gave me teas to help calm my symptoms. The views are impeccable and the overall stay was very relaxing. Breakfast is very organic and the dinner is amazing. They also made sure to give us a ride to the train station. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in Tuscany!

It was my 3rd time staying at il sassone. You won’t find a better place in the region. Everyone who works there is lovely. The dinner is an event. The breakfast is great. The view is stunning. The pool is chill central during summer months.

Everything was exceptional.

The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Lots of fruit, pastries, meats, and cheeses. Fabulous cappuccino and other coffees to start the day. The location is a bit isolated, very private. That was good and bad. Good, in that it was super quiet. More challenging if you wanted to go out for the evening. Dinners were an additional cost. A four course meal was 40 Euros per person. The food was Michelin star quality. We ate on the outside deck and the sunset views from the hotel were absolutely gorgeous. The nearest town is about 10 minutes away and there isn't much there in terms of restaurants, although one day we bought a pizza and ate it in our room just to have something different. The owner, Adriano, has olive trees and a vineyard/winery on the property. The wines were an add-on with the meal, if you wanted to order them. We had a tour of the vineyards and the winery which was very interesting. We learned alot about wine production The rooms were well equipped. The staff attentive and helpful. It was lovely to have a pool. Overall, this is an amazing place to rest, relax, and contemplate life. If you want to explore, there are many midieval towns with castles nearby. Siena is about an hour drive and the coast is about an hour drive away.

The staff were amazing and so helpful, the location is incredible only a short taxi ride from Follonica train station. The owner is ever present and always comes over for a chat, he also took us on a tour of the vineyard which was an amazing experience, along with sampling the produce!

Location and property are excellent. Pool and amenities are wonderful. Staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. Food was high quality and very tasty, as was the wine. Will recommend a stay at this property to friends and family, and will stay again next time I am in the area.

The beds could be more comfortable. And while no AC was not an issue for us, if we had gone in the summer months, I could see this being difficult.

If you're looking for a getaway with awesome views and serenity, this is the place. While tucked away from the rest of the city, they have what you'd need on site. The dinners, while costing extra, were so worth it, and the owner was nice enough to give us a tour of the winery, which truthfully had the greatest wines we had while in Tuscany. The facilities can not be matched.

Breakfast was more than perfect (but we didn't know we could ask for eggs, the second day we managed to get eggs also!), dinner was 11/10 with a view that we could have only dreamed of. The pool was A+, and the location was A++. We loved this and will hopefully be back next year or the year after!

The road to the property has a lot of large stones which were really difficult to drive up and down and not damage our car

Absolutely stunning property located in a beautiful and quiet spot in Tuscany! You have an incredible view of the vineyard and the staff were lovely and very accommodating. The best part of all was the lovely hotel dog Evo! We already miss him and this beautiful villa - grazie Mille!
