Taverna Centomani is a hidden gem in the under-rated Basilicata countryside. Accommodations are spacious, ideal for families. The taverna is linked to a farm that produces organic milk and yoghurt - the hosts let us visit the barn, something our children will remember! Simple and delicious breakfast and dinner are served by attentive hosts.

The property is in a good location with some fantastic places to visit nearby. The rooms are spacious and well laid out with some nice homely touches. The accommodation is located on a working cattle farm and the owner can arrange a farm visit. The restaurant at the farm is fantastic and the owners are so friendly. Wonderful evening meal and a chance to try their award winning yoghurt

There was no air conditioning and we did find that the room got very stuffy during the night.

A beautiful B&B in a wonderful setting. We had a very warm welcome from the owners and an added bonus of a guided tour of the farm. Dinner was delicious and served in a stunning restaurant. Breakfast included home made cheese and yoghurt from the farm. A lovely stay.

We had a great 2 night stay with Pino and his family. They have created a beautiful form of holiday accommodation with the beautiful setting within a working farm and producing wonderful food from it. Pino was so helpful with any request or advice we asked. We would highly recommend this beautiful place for a peaceful but interesting stay. I wish Pino and his family all the best going forward with their eco-friendly form of holiday accommodation. This was such a relaxing and peaceful place to stay. There are lots of things to do in the area, but the farm itself is also a lovely place to stay and enjoy. Our hosts were so friendly, and were especially kind to our children. Food was amazing, definitely glad we booked dinner as part of our stay.

I know it is the Italian breakfast style, but I would have liked some more non-sweet options. I had a piece of bread and butter each morning, but this was the only non-sweet option. On arrival, two small bottles of water were in the room and available for an extra charge. I feel that an establishment at this level (and distance from any shop) should provide complementary water to its guests.

We were warmly greeted and shown to our (upgraded) room. As clearly explained to us, the rooms have underfloor heating, which made the room temperature very comfortable (and welcoming on the very cool days we were there!). The bed was also extremely comfortable and the bedding was of a very high quality. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. The daily breakfast was served in a lovely room with a wood fire. All baked goods were homemade (and delicious!), and the homemade yogurt was also delicious. We had dinner there our last night and the lovely host Maria made it feel like eating at someone's home. This was a very special meal for us! I've attached a photo of the breakfast room/restaurant and the view of the central courtyard that all rooms open onto.

We loved our stay here. The staff was excellent; so pleasant and helpful. The room was large and everything was clean. Breakfast (included) and dinner (additional) was fresh and delicious.

Unfortunately the restaurant was not open on Monday nights so I was give priority treatment at a nearby restaurant 6 km away as the host reserved me a table and I was given me up a very nice meal.

A real working farm stay. The host gave me a tour of the dairy cow milk production and talked me through the making of the yoghurt which the fam is famed for the biodynamic process. It was fascinating. The room was large with a nice terrace that I claimed with a glass of wine as it was a sunny day.

It was lovely to experience the ecological friendly farm and meeting with Pino who is so passionate about farming . The area around the farm was beautiful, climbing up the hill. Had a lovely authentic Italian dinner at the restaurant next to the farm , the chef was Pino’s mum in law. Food was great and the chef/ hostess lovely

A sanctuary for relaxation during our vacation. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The owner took us to see the farm and their products. The dinner was so delicious with genuine and real homemade Italian cuisine. Make sure to book a complete dinner menu in advance. Their youghurt was the best youghurt we ever ate. Grazie!

The address on Booking.com wed page is incorrect. I was directed to the nearby town by G-map many times. At last called the host & she immediately sent a car to lead me in. Super!!!

Excellent environment with nice & big room. We arrived late & the host cooked delicious dinner to serve us. We love the dinner room that made us felt like home. Very warm & friendly host who took care of my need all time. Next morning a good breakfast with best Italian yogurt await us. Ms Maria Giulian & her daughter Anna Chiara Affinito were so nice to chat with. The property is surrounded by nature, peaceful & relaxing. An excellent place to stay for vacation.

In all our previous travels, we have never felt more welcomed. Pino, Anna, and Anna's mother, Maria, made us feel like a part of their family in every way. Everything we needed was quickly and cheerfully provided, and all our questions were patiently answered. Plus, the fresh, local dishes prepared by Maria we absolutely delicious. We came to Basilicata looking for an authentic Italian experience, and we definitely found it at Taverna Centomani. We made friends and memories there we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. Highly recommend.

The owners were lovely and so hospitable. It was so fun to walk around the farm and view the dairy milking. The rooms were basic but left nothing to be desired. Peno and Anna were wonderful and we would highly recommend that anyone else experience this naturally beautiful farm. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Nothing could have been better.

This is an amazing place. Maria went out of her way to look after us. The set menu meal was amazing. We loved the sustainable ethos of the place and the fact that this is actually the best yoghurt in Italy! Don’t hesitate to go. It’s a tranquil farm and perfect for a trip to Matera and Puglia.
