This property was a five minute walk from the Vatican City, which was ideal. The room was clean and tidy and we had a terrace to view out of breakfast was simple but perfectly adequate

I liked everything .

I had an amazing experience at Tango Hotel ! The hosts are the best hosts I ever had : welcoming , friendly and always there to assist me if I ever needed . The hotel is located in a very good area , 10 mins walk from the centre of the town , my room was clean , spacious and the bed very comfortable ; there is air conditioning which is life saving during summer time and much needed . Upstairs there is also a coffee machine and a terrace that guests can use . Two mins walk from the hotel there is a good bakery and a good icecream shop. I will definitely come back in the future , thank you so much for having me !

Very good location near the historic center Lucca, excellent parking, luxurious breakfast terrace with excellent coffee. Very nice hostess Miriam, Very good communication. The rooms were prepared and cooled by air conditioning, cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in the fridge. Mrs. Miriam recommended us a unique local restaurant near the accommodation.

Friendly welcome by the lovely hosts. Even though I arrived late they welcomed me with a limoncello and a smile. Room was well appointed with en suite and close to both the train station and the centre of town.

not so much of a what didn't you like..that's probably the wrong description for the question just a bit of a pity there was no breakfast offering at the hotel, although Coffee was available upstairs the local cafe along the street prepared a great croissant and other breakfast stuffs perhaps something to consider... a croissant and a coffee. Now that would be perfect 😀

perfect location... Just a short walk to the main attractions of the city Miriam was simply wonderful, so helpful in every way nothing was too much trouble. the room was just delightful, had been prepared and restored in a beautiful way to reflect the history of the building had all of the necessary features to make the stay more enjoyable I'm a long time vistor to Lucca.. on all previous visits staying elsewhere having now found the Tango Hotel this year, I will certainly be returning and based on my experience would recommend anyone coming to Lucca to do the same.

If you're looking for some character and charm, this is a wonderful spot. Mariam is so welcoming and kind, as was everyone we engaged and said hello to. Super close to Lucca's ancient wall, shops, cafes, and restaurants. Our room was small, very clean, and everything needed was included.

The road outside is quite busy and did disturb us a little during the night but there are free earplugs to use. There is no sign on the building, so we missed it the first time but luckily the owners spotted us!

Lovely friendly and accommodating couple. They let us leave our bag and car before check in time. Gave us lots of useful information about Lucca. Did everything they could to make sure we were happy 😊. Charming room and bathroom with great shower. Bed super comfortable. sadly there was no breakfast but there was free coffee/hot water on the terrace and they recommended an excellent bakery just up the road. Lucca is an easy stroll away, as is the train station, for a quick trip to Pisa.

We really liked the quiet, dark and comfortable room, as we had a long sleep and good rest. Also the location is good and being just outside the city walls, the price is much better. The place has a rustic feel being a renovated house over 1000 years old!

Great finishing touches to the room. Excellent furnishings and design. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable and very quiet. The air con made it very cool on hot days. A very welcoming and helpful host. A short walk to the beautiful walled town of Lucca (only 500m). A faultless stay.

We are an eighty- year-old couple who needed a hotel in Lucca in an emergency situation. (My sister who had invited us to share a rental property in Lucca developed Covid.) The Tango Hotel is probably a two or three star hotel in conventional ratings. There is no breakfast, no elevator, and few extra amenities. The stairs are steep and narrow. However, the room was exceptionally clean, very comfortable, and well-lighted. There is a very nice terrace on the second floor which we enjoyed in the evenings. The hosts were truly kind and helpful to us in giving directions and information about restaurants and distance we needed to walk. The gentleman carried our luggage up the stairs. The hosts have put considerable effort into making a small and old building work well for guests despite the lack of some of the usual amenities. They made a last-minute decision work for us. With some caveats we could definitely recommend this hotel to others.
