How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLovely property in an excellent location, we walked to all main sites and only took a bus once from the Colosseo to come back to the property as we were too tired. The area has supermarkets, high street shops and restaurants. The host was wonderful and the check in and check out extremely smooth. The building and the area the property is in it's fantastic. We had a quadruple room, the beds and pillows were so comfy, fantastic large shower and soft towels. The air conditioning unit worked perfectly and the room was cool very quickly, we didn't suffer the August heat at all. It's a shame we were in Rome for 2 nights only but I look forward to coming back and staying for longer at this property again.

Verified reviewFamily friendly, safe area, excellent cleaning, free coffee every day in the room, close to Castel Sant' Angelo, Vatican City and Piazza Navona, very good communication with the host, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, 5 minutes away form the bus station that takes you to the Fiumicino airport. Supermarket, pharmacy and many other places in a walking distance from the room. We will come back!

Verified reviewWe found the prices in Rome to be more expensive than some of the other towns we were staying in during our 2 weeks in Italy. This hotel seemed to have the best value for the price although everything was still very basic for the cost. We were happy to have air conditioning, as there were extreme heat advisories at this time in August and the room was clean and the bathroom was large. It was nice there seemed to be a kitchen outside of the room that we could use to heat-up food or have a sink to use. Location was the best part of this hotel. We easily could arrive by bus or metro from Termini Station and took the bus over the river when we wanted to get deeper into Rome without walking too much in the heat. Also, there is a bus shuttle stop nearby that will take you directly to the airport for around 7 euro/person that we used and it worked out great.
We had indicated our time of arrival, however no one was there when we reached our destination. We rang the bell multiple times with no answer. Because we are from the US we didn't have international data to use to try to reach the company. Finally I broke-down and turned on my data to call them as we were still standing outside in the heat. They did not answer but finally whatsapped me back instructions to enter. I wish this could have been sent to me beforehand as they were aware we were coming. It took a while to find the sweet spot with the air conditioning. I was very happy to have it but 1 bed was very close to it having direct air blowing onto the bed at night, while the other bed was difficult to get the air onto that side of the room.

Verified reviewKind host, snooth communication, cleanliness.
It was very loud, especially the AC but also the streets. The AC barely had an effect. Also the room doors were just plain doors - meaning you could hear the other rooms and the corridor.

Verified reviewThe host was wonderful and very nice and helpful. He gave wonderful tips about visiting Rome, and also gave great recommendations on where to eat. The room was very clean, modern, and comfortable. The location is also fantastic, the Prati neighborhood felt very safe and there are lots of great restaurants and shops nearby.
At some points during the stay we felt the air con didn't cool very well (not a big issue for us). For the design of the bathroom, the shower had a door but it wasn't a fully extended door so water could easily get on the ground if you are not careful. But these were not big issues for us, would be happy to stay here again.

Verified reviewIt is well located, 20 mins walking from the historic center. They cleaned the room every day. The host was so nice and open to give us recommendations.
We stayed 4 nights and we weren't able to cook. There is a small kitchen in the entrance but we couldn't cook there, it would be more comfortable with a little kitchen. Also there is space for a small division between the two beds. In the nights it can be loud because there are restaurants downstairs. But the rest was great.
