We loved everything! The host took care of us from the moment we arrived until the last day of our stay and was helpful in so many ways – from waiting for us on the piazza after check-in hours (since we were a bit late), to walking us through every detail of the house, garage, and town, suggesting places to visit and eat, and even providing a map and ferry schedule! When I reported a small issue (the bathroom lock wasn’t working properly), she came over within 5 minutes to check, and it was fixed within the hour – amazing service. A beautiful, very modern house! Highly recommended place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay in Blue House Varenna. The apartment is really lovely and cosy. As a family of 5 persons we had everything we needed for a comfortable 5 days stay, even beach towels and beach loungers. Alessandra is an amazing and really welcoming host!

The property is right in the heart of Varenna. There’s a little grocery store, a takeaway pizza place all within 1 min of walk. San Giorgio piazza next to it has great vibes with bistros and bars. We loved getting an aperitivo there before our dinners. Alessandra is such a great host. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Responds to our messages almost instantly. I’m so glad we chose Varenna over Bellagio in the end. It is so much more interesting and more beautiful in my view. There are frequent ferries to Bellagio and nearby towns. The apartment is very close to the ferry dock.

Alessandra was an amazing Host, She ended up meeting us at the train station, dropped us at the apartment, and then ran through all of the features in the apartment. She has thought of everything. Cannot recommend this beautiful apartment enough.

I am an active traveler with my mom ( who is young ) and we have been to many places, but I really would like to highlight how amazing it was staying at Blue House Varenna , amazing host ; Alexandra she exceeded our expectations with such a beautiful accommodation , jacuzzi , comfort , everything was thought of to the littlest detail. I will never forget our stay in Varenna and Alexandra’s house made our stay even more memorable and filled with beautiful warm memories. If anyone is ever going to travel to lake como and particularly in Varenna I promise you will not find a single house similar to this accommodation. She is the only one also who has jacuzzi in town. We really really were pleased and very much happy thank you very much sweet Alexandra to make our memories even more memorable. Our host met us as soon as we arrived, walked us in to the apartment, and gave us an overview of the apartment and the town. Later during our visit, she let us know of a train strike that would affect our plans for departure and travel to our next destination. She gave us information on how to handle our train reservations. Had she not contacted us, we may have been delayed by at least a day, if not longer!

Perfect romantic getaway! Alexandra welcomed us and gave us lots of useful information. The house was clean and cozy, nothing was missing. The hot tub was super relaxing!! Must try! We will definitely be back!

This secure apartment is so convenient to most of Varenna. Several restaurants, a deli, a small grocery, and a bakery are all within 2 blocks. There are several walkways with railings down to the lake close by. The unit is a one bedroom that is very comfortable - there is a couch in the main living area and another couch in the bedroom, allowing you some private downtime. A comfortable bed, a great shower, and a fully functional kitchen are part of this well decorated unit.

It took a little bit of finding when we first arrived, but the people in the My Pizza shop opposite helped us out straight away.

Location is very close to a lovely square in Varenna, but not noisy. Great base to explore Lake Como. 10 mins from the ferries. Brilliant introduction, advice and restaurant recommendations from Alessandra - she also kindly gave us a lift to the station when we departed. This lady has thought out what travellers need, and Blue House offers a well appointed offering that has been upgraded very tastefully.

While not a problem for us, the stone stairs leading to the apartment might be difficult for those with mobility issues.

Alessandra was the most amazing and perfect host!! I can not give her enough stars. Before we arrived, I asked if she could recommend an airport transport and voila, she provided a great local and professional company. She also sent restaraunt and other helpful suggestions prior to our arrival. I asked if we needed to make reservations in advance, and voila she offered to make reservations at our selected restaraunts. Definitely, necessary. Her suggestions were perfecto. I asked for a very early check in and viola, she accommodated us. We met her at the property and she was very helpful and thorough in explaining how everything worked and had a detailed booklet with train schedules, ferry schedules, and a lot of other helpful information. The apartment itself was ideally located in the center of town yet off a short alley which made for a quiet stay. The ferry was a 10 minute walk; the train station a more difficult 20 minute walk...Allessandra offered to arrange a taxi for us which was definitely helpful on our departure. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with every need anticipated, including a bottle of prosecco, water and pastries as a welcome gesture. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large and modern. From start to finish, we had a very comfortable and wonderful stay at Blue House Varenna. Don't hesitate to stay here.

Lovely, clean, well thought out, and very comfortable accommodation. Perfect for a mini break in Varenna. Alessandra was an excellent host, had great communication and booked us an excellent restaurant for our anniversary dinner. We couldn’t have asked for a better hostess.
