Truly memorable! We loved and were honoured to stay in this unique villa which is actually a very loved family home. We knew from first sight it was the place for us. Giovanni’s love of people shone through in every way. From the moment of booking, we enjoyed every moment. Amazing cooking and happy hours on the beautiful outdoor area. EVERY spot and window (even the bathrooms) had jaw dropping views, even on a rainy day. Don't hesitate, book it!

The view is great because the house is high, so the climb up is basically a couple of flights. Not too bad, and worth it. But something to consider.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location with a beautiful view. The house itself is large (easily slept 4 of us but I think there's room for 6), beautifully decorated like a museum, but very convenient. Well stocked kitchen. Terrace in the back. Comfortable living room. And have I mentioned the views over the lake? Wow. We could have spent much of our vacation on the porch, but we were also close to lots of Lake Como attractions. Bellano is a great town - not too touristy, not too small. There's a small, easily accessible beach literally right across the road. Finally, Giovanni is a terrific host. Accessible and welcoming but not intrusive. Great guy.

We really enjoyed our two days at this villa. Giovanni (the owner of the villa) is very hospitable and caring, he met us at the station and took us by car to the villa. The house has a beautiful view from the balconies on the lake, you can admire without leaving the house sunsets and sunrises. Everything we needed for a comfortable holiday for our family we found here. State-of-the-art kitchen appliances, gorgeous antique and stylish crockery, lots of wonderful paintings from past centuries made our holiday not only enjoyable but also aesthetically rich. In a couple of days we visited several towns of Lake Como by ferry. It was an unforgettable experience! The town centre, which we walked only 5 minutes to, offers very tasty and inexpensive food. I recommend it to everyone!

The only thing to note is that there are stairs to the property and the bedrooms are upstairs.

Loved the location. 15 min walk to the train. 5 min to town. Stunning sunsets. Unique and charming decor, felt right at home. Gio was so accommodating and helpful with any requests. I can’t believe we are so lucky to have found this place!

Everything was perfect!

6 of us (3 adults and three kids) stayed at Giovanni’s place in August. We really loved the house and original details! Gtrat decor! If you like authentic style housing with a lot of personal touch - artwork, lamps, vintage furniture - this is a place to be! Original Bellano marble and venetian floor, beautiful staircase, porches! Location was convenient just outside Bellano and only a few minutes walk, little beach across the street. Bellano is less touristy than Varenna but only a stayion away. Everyone knows each other . Rented a boat for a few hours from sail garage as per Giovanni’s recommendation - so fun! Went hiking to Dervio along the Sentiero del Viandante - great 5 km hike along the villages, gardens and forest. Took the train back. The apartment was spacious, clean, the garden was amazing with lemons and fresh figs! The views were gorgeous and you can hear the lake at night! Giovanni, the owner picked us up from the station, made us welcome drinks and cooked an amazing dinner for all of us one night (highly recommend, Giovanni is a professional chef).. He made an extra bed for our group at no extra charge when we had an additional member joining. We loved the property! Overall had amazing stay and would love to come back! Thank you, Giovanni!

Pretty steap, a challenge when you forgot something in the room, probably good excercise though

Nice space, enough room, beds a little bit small, bit doable. The host was very friendly and helpful, I had a problem with a tyre that was slowly deflating and was able to use Giovanni's compressor. We also went for a ride in his convertible vintage VW beetle to Varenna and back. Truly a very attentive host, in the evening he also presented a very tasty 3-course menu accompanied by a home-made limoncello. Absolutely highly recommended! Will return when again in the neighborhood and available!

Giovanni was a wonderful host and very attentive to all guests. We appreciated being met on arrival and getting a lift to the station on leaving, we loved the spin in his vintage beetle and his two home-cooked meals were excellent- ottima qualità! The apartment was great and the views from the balcony are wonderful, you will not want to leave.

Just a little thing really: the Rear Patio Terrace is accessed externally up a series of steps, it is a lovely spot and is a great place for morning tea / coffee / brunch as it gets the mid morning & early afternoon sun, we used the patio but just thought it needed some weeding, tidying up & a bigger furniture box for putting all the cushions in to protect them from those Lake Como rain showers !! It is a fantastic spot.

The location is superb, you are able to walk into Bellano in 5 minutes, there is very easy access to both the ferry boats & the train station. After a day out and about on the boats in busier neighbouring towns e.g. Varenna, Bellagio, Como etc.. (all very beautiful) it was so lovely to return to Bellano, which is quieter, and to get off the boat and just go 'ahhhhh' peace, serenity, much quieter, of course there are still locals & tourists about, with some very nice places to eat and drink, just without all the queues, hustle, bustle & hordes .........we loved 'coming home' to a welcoming, more peaceful Bellano !! From the apartment, the views of Lake Como are out of this world, the views from the upstairs bedroom terrace are absolutely beautiful, really stunning with amazing sunsets over the mountains & Lake Como. We had a fantastic experience being driven to Varenna in Giovanni (the owner's) 1975 VW Cabriolet aka "The Batmobile", this was a real highlight of our stay & the Friday evening BBQ cooked & prepared by Giovanni, who is a wonderful chef & host, the home made Aperol Spritz 'Giovanni style' went down a treat, "Grazie Davvero". N.B. if you have mobility issues it may be a challenge getting to the front door as their are a fair few steps up from the drive.

Great location in a beautiful and quiet place! The house is like a museum even better, as you can sleep and make a breakfast/lunch/dinner inside of it and enjoy all the antique accessories, or got outside to the lovely garden. The lake view from the bedroom terrace and bathroom window unforgettable, everything is really perfect! The house good equipped with everything you need! Special thanks to Giovanni for warm welcome.
