Great location - right by Rome Termini, come out Via Marsala exit, take a left and you are there. 20 minute walk to the Colosseum and the most popular sites. Easy to catch train to Fiumicino Decent size room, not ample but comfortable enough. Pleasant staff, 24 hour reception Excellent value for money

Maybe painting some walls would make the place to look better.

Tbh for 50eur on August you can’t expect much. But it was extremely clean , good A/C and good stuff. I had to take the first morning train to Milano ( 530am) so that was my priority.

Toilet seat as broken, the room as a bit noise from the Aircon unit on the roof, I was on the last floor.

The eggs and sausage meals at breakfast were very tasteless.

It’s a basic mid range hotel a couple of minutes walk from Termini. Nothing fancy, but nice overall. To add to the convenience, one of the airport bus companies (I think it’s ‘Bus_Shuttle’) stops just across the road.

Loud noise is coming from outside; the window isn't completely closed.

Missed my night train, so I had to stay near Termini. The motel is just a 5-minute walk away and offers great prices. All the rooms are identical, and the size is suitable for an overnight stay. It could be a great option for young or solo travelers.

The 2 p.m time one can access their room is off-puttingly strict and has meant my hanging about for hours on the several occasions I've stayed at the hotel. Indeed, they send out a firm warning as soon as a person has booked. (Not a good vibe.) Stromboli offers wifi but it only works in some parts of the building. Despite the seeming generosity of a buffee breakfast which is priced at euro10, what is actually on offer is limited. For example, I couldn't even make a slice of toast or get a boiled egg and the staff behind the counter serving coffee appear resentful of the customers wanting their morning coffee. They hog that coffee pot. After one try, I didn't again dare ask for a top-up. One even insisted I hadn't ordered breakfast when, in fact, I had. This was embarassing as it played out in front of other clients. The general ethos of the place set my nerves on edge. If the staff are suffering issues that translates to the client experience.

I was able to check in with ease and come and go as I liked. The building was pleasant, clean and quiet and had a lift.

The single room was extremely small, with a tiny bed pushed against the wall. The window was completely covered, so there was no natural light at all.

Hotel Stromboli is very well located, just a short walk from Termini Station and with easy access to the airport. The hotel is old, but clean. If you’re not too picky, it does the job. The breakfast was decent – I didn’t leave hungry. The staff was kind and helpful. Also, I was pleasantly surprised by the bathroom – it had everything I needed and was actually bigger than the room itself!😅

The room was very hot, and the air conditioning didn’t work properly.
The WiFi didn’t work—I was on the first floor and couldn’t stay connected for more than a minute over the three days.

I had a positive experience during my 3-day stay.
The reception is open 24 hours, so you can check in at any time, which is useful if you have a late-night flight.
The location is close to Termini station, from where you can get anywhere by train, metro, or bus.

Air conditioning didn't work with soaring temperatures in Rome.

The location is very convenient just around the corner from Termini Railway and Metro station and Rome bus hub. If you’re looking for a cheap, clean, and well-located place to crash, this hotel delivers. It’s basic but pleasant, with a few quirks and great welcoming staff. Would stay again!

I believe this hotel is labeled as a 3 star hotel. It is not a 3 star hotel. Definitely a 2 star. The hotel is very dated, everything looks very old, the carpet is stained, the elevator was rough, the AC in my room did not work, there was a fan that kept me cool, but there would be times when a fan would not be sufficient, the shower is maybe 2 feet x 2 feet, the only extra in the bathroom was hand soap, no shampoo is available for your hair, no conditioner or lotion… the safe box in my room did not work. Overall, none of these things got in the way of the functionality of the room, but it is not a place you would want to go on a family vacation or romantic weekend getaway.

The location was perfect - right across the street from Rome Termini. It was quiet and provided the basics in a hotel. It was clean and comfortable enough.
