The hotel is better than expected! The communication with the boss was smooth and red wine was given. The hotel is in the center and the scenery is beautiful! The hotel is also very clean. This trip is very happy!

There is no breakfast included. Although, there is good coffee and water! However, it does give you an opportunity to go out and explore the old city for a breakfast stop!

Location was great in the Matera old town. If possible, take smaller bags as you have to walk down small cobbled streets to find it. The accommodation was amazing. So beautifully decorated and curated. It was a slice of luxury in a cave house .. and an absolute pleasure to be in. I would say that the owners must be interior designers. It feels like nothing has been spared in the decor including pieces of furniture and objects. The bed and sheets were extremely luxe and super comfortable. All extremely tasteful and we walked away very inspired! We were so excited by our find that we have told many friends all about it and would not hesitate to recommend it. Hosts were super helpful too. On hand and responded quickly to all our requests and questions. Overall 10/10.

The AC controls were a little confusing.

Stageroom was absolutely perfect in every way. The self check-in process was convenient and stress-free. The room itself was stunning—beautifully designed with a unique cave theme that added so much character and charm. The location was unbeatable—right in the heart of the historical centre, with everything just a short walk away. It truly felt like a hidden gem.

Amazing design and comfort. We were afraid of humidity or dampness due to the grotto, but the air quality was perfect, air was fresh and comfortable. The design and the quality of the renovation is flawless and the place is amazing, actually much better than the pictures would let you believe. Location is prime, close to great restaurants and all the sights.

Words cannot describe the level of perfection. We were left without words. Each and every detail was perfect, we felt like in some kind of fairytale. Helpful and kind hosts, perfect communication. Easy to find, great location.

It is quite hard to navigate. Thank goodness for the instructions. Matera is about a 4 to 5 level town so it’s hard to navigate anywhere by gps as there is no way to know which level.
