Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyBreakfast was only cookies. Fruit would have been better. Also it is in the cellar, fine for me but sometimes a bit bad stuffy.
The location was great, you can reach everything by foot in 30min max. The host is very nice and gave great tips for things to try. The room is spacious and nicely furnished.

Czech RepublicWe spent couple of beautiful days in Via Sannio! The room was clean, very nice and (because of really hot weather outside) the ventilator was just perfect! Communication with the host was great, he was reacting immediately. Same was the breakfast!

United KingdomFirst impression a little off putting- it seemed to be a basement flat of a tired residential building ( Some descriptions make it sound more like it's the basement of a hotel but it is more of a bnb set up). Area always felt very safe walking back at night etc and was nice and close to shops and restaurants. Room door lock worked but could do with replacing- took a bit of jiggling to lock the door every time we went out. A few things were a little tired in the bathroom (I.e tap and shower door) but were perfectly usable all the same and we always had hot water available when showering. Despite initial reservations, we had a friendly and great experience here.
Covenient location, few minutes walk to metro station, 15min train journey to Termini station. 5 mins to restaurants & shops. 20 minute walk to Colleseum. Cosy, clean room with ensuite and Comfy bed. Access to shared kitchen/lounge with tea/coffee available and all usual kitchen gadgets etc. A good selection of breakfast items left out for us each day. Very friendly, helpful hosts, accommodated a late check-in and gave good restaurant, sites of interest recommendations etc.

United KingdomAt our arrival we were greeted by the host who told us that we will have a roommate !? We were really surprised and we didn't expect it because we thought we are renting the whole apartment. We are both girls and to have a stranger man as flatmate is really uncomfortable for us and that meant we didnt feel comfortable enough to get out of the room and siit in kitchen or living room. I think it should be made clear in description that we will be sharing so we wouldn't book it.. It was a basement apparetment which meant it was cold and the air conditioning didn't work properly and we were shivering in the night. The shower has limited hot water as it is a tank and it takes time to reheat, so as soon as I started the water started going cold and I had to finish my shower in a cold water. The breakfast was not great. the flatmate prepared it for us and it was basically slices of old cakes and some crackers. I mean he did a good job presenting it but it wasn't fresh or healthy. We expected something hot like eggs or something. The juice was poured in the the same small mugs and it was rotten I believe (it had a funky smell ) I just spat it out. I also like to wash my mugs before drinking but the flatmate was watching me almost all the time and said : don't wash it it's clean! When it's clearly full of finger prints. I felt so uncomfortable I even stopped washing them out of embarrassment. The place I would recommend for someone who only wants to stay couple nights and can handle taking shower in cold water. I would also recommend you if you are interested in renting it to confirm with the host that you will be staying alone or not. Personally I wouldn't go there again.
The location is really convenient, I liked the bed was comfortable, the kitchen was also useful, it had things like cutlery, dished and tea and coffee.
