We had to pay a little extra (10 Euros) to get sheets for all the beds in a four bed apartment (they assume that four guests will share the two double beds if you are below maximum occupancy).

Only five minutes walk from the Porta Messina and start of the Main Street of Taormina. The room set up was convenient for a family and the staff were helpful.

When I said in a recent review that I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Hotel Soleado, I really meant it. We ended up returning to Taormina and Hotel Soleado at the end of our holiday as we found that Catania wasn't the right place to finish our trip. We did a last minute booking and were welcomed back like old friends. From the moment we arrived at Hotel Soleado we were made to feel so welcome by the Stracuzzi family: nothing was too much trouble! We were really blown away by their friendly and professional service. The hotel is a short walk from the main thoroughfares which meant that it was near to the hustle and bustle, whilst still being lovely and quiet in the evenings. The pool was a fantastic respite from the Mediterranean heat and provided a lovely view of the sea. You can arrange a variety of excursions from reception. We chose to use their service to go to the beach for the day. We chose one of the set times to be picked up by the taxi and were chauffeured down to Mazzeo beach. For 20E each you get the taxi there and back, welcome drinks, sunbed and umbrella. We liked it so much we went a second time. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard everyday and the communal areas were spotless. We very much recommend Hotel Soleado and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again when we return to Taormina. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

This is a small critique and might be more of a booking.com issue. We had filtered for properties with parking and we assumed that that would mean the parking was on site. The hotel worked with us to find two different garages. One was a nine minute walk away but all uphill, the other one had a shuttle.

This was a lovely property with a lovely staff. We splurged for the room with a terrace and Ocean view, and it was well worth the money.

Bed mattress a bit firm for me. No 24 hr reception so early check-out for our early flight was awkward as the reception had only just arrived .think this was about 6.45am

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Soleado in Taormina! It’s a charming, family-run hotel, and everyone was so sweet and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk to the town centre, which was very convenient. They even arranged a beach trip with a van transfer and booked a spot at a lido for just €20 — such a thoughtful service! We would definitely choose Hotel Soleado again if we return to Taormina.

You could hear lots of noise from adjacent rooms. There's not much than can be done about that though.

Lovely, big room with a sea view. The private terrace area outside our room was large, with sunloungers, chairs and a table. The mini bar was far better value than most hotels. €2.50 for a beer! They need to stock more beers. The breakfast buffet was lovely, with lots of cakes to choose from (as well as meats, cheeses, vegetables, eggs etc). Coffee was very strong. Staff were excellent and organised a taxi for our return to the train station. Beware... The hotel is in the town up the hill and you must use a taxi to get to it from the station. This isn't cheap but is necessary.

Probably just personel preference but beds and pillows were not that comfortable. No coffee making facilities and the air conditioner leaked onto our suitcases.

Property was in a great location and only 5 min walk into all the shops, restaurants etc. staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
