We hadn’t planned in advance to visit Como, and unfortunately, all the hotels were fully booked. But we were lucky — the “Shadеs of Lake” apartment was available. The apartment is perfectly located in the city center, between the train station and the ferry pier, making it very convenient for walks and sightseeing. It offers keyless access and is equipped with modern “smart home” technology. The host, Giacomo, explained in advance how to get to the apartment, met us at the door, showed us everything in detail and explained how everything works. He also gave us excellent tips about local sights, restaurants and places to visit in Como. We knew Italians are very friendly people, but Giacomo’s hospitality exceeded all our expectations. We wholeheartedly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to feel at home and truly enjoy the atmosphere of Como. Thank you so much, Giacomo, for your warm welcome and care! Do note that the property is a ground floor unit and whilst not next to a busy road, means less privacy.

Electronic shades helped keep the light out for sleeping! Comfortable beds! Owner was v accommodating on check-in time, we arrived late due to flights.

It was super awesome experince to visit Como. We were late for the appointed check-in time and the landlord was always in touch and waited for us to check into the Apartment. We are very grateful for the assistance provided during check-in, especially after a difficult journey. We were also waiting for a pleasant gift personally from the owners. The apartment was very comfortable for a long stay, very clean and is located in a stunning location where it is quiet and a short walk to the historical center and restaurants. We want to say huge thanks for oportunity to stay here and would be happy to visit Como again here in Shades of Lake.

We stayed for 2 nights and would have stayed longer. Everything was taken care of. Our host, Giacomo was always willing to help. The apartment is perfectly equipped. All new appliances. To many good things to name. On top of it, location is perfect. 200 feet from the heart of Como.
