How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No reception, a really lovely lady met us and showed us everything we needed to know and also gave an excellent restaurant recommendation. It just makes you feel slightly time pressured as you know someone is waiting.
Excellent location very easy to find and very close to the station. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Air conditioning worked well and was quiet. Blinds and curtains so nice dark to sleep. Bathroom was new with a good shower. Comfy beds, although they were quite narrow.

The bed was very comfortable and it was in an area that made it very easy to access the rest of Milan. Lina was very helpful and provided us with everything we needed for our stay. It was good value for money too!

The only thing that surprised me was no blankets on the beds. Two sheets and a pillows, but no blankets. Other than that our stay was exceptional.
The room was very clean and comfortable. It had AC, so that was nice. Bathroom was very clean as well. We had complimentary water and small snacks. There were tea kettle and coffee maker available as well.

Very tidy room with small details we appreciated, pads for girls, water, cookies. Is located close to the train station which is really convenient. Also late check in was accepted by the host without problem.

everything was fine
The apartment had all the basic amenities needed for a short stay. It was very clean, which is the most important factor for me when choosing accommodation. The coffee from the pod espresso machine was excellent – a nice and practical touch. The location was also a big plus – close to the train station and public transport stops. Additionally, Ms. Lina was very kind and allowed me to keep my luggage for a longer time. Thank you very much.

Only wished if downtown was a little closer/ more like walking distance.
The location to the trainststion was perfect. Lena was great, and she answered all our questions immediately. The place was clean with the tram, right across from the building.

The aircon wasn't great. In the morning the corridor and outside was cooler than the room.

I hadn’t realised it is one larger apartment with a few small ones inside. Each lock individually, not an issue at all just hadn’t realised until we arrived
Great location, so close to the station. Apartment was small but had everything we needed. The bed and pillow were so comfy! Small fridge in room and clean en-suite.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! We stayed for one night and everything was perfect. Lina was incredibly kind and helpful – she gave us great recommendations and made us feel very welcome. We were also able to leave our luggage for the day while exploring Milan, which was very convenient. Thank you for the coffee and the warm hospitality! I’ll definitely recommend this place to my friends — the location is excellent!

It was warm so I thought about leaving the windows open, but there was too much traffic noise for that. Fortunately the a/c worked and solved that problem. Consider installing a grab bar in the shower; helpful for people with balance issues.
The host was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. She met me at the door and explained how everything worked. She was fun to chat with. She was kind about getting a corkscrew so I could drink my wine, and offering recommendations for a pizza place. I had trouble with one of the door locks and she sent someone right away to help. The location is a reasonable walk from the train station, and, best of all, it's not too far from an Aldi's! The room had a refrigerator, and a large bottle of water was provided, which was much appreciated. Thoughtful details like that. The bed was comfortable.

Foam mattresses and room slightly small.
