Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaThe hotel was perfect! It is very close to the center - only a few minute by foot, the bed is sooo comfortable and the staff is very welcoming. On top of that, they had a locked backyard for our bikes and the breakfast was very good, too!

NetherlandsI spent one night in Udine and had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the city center, which made it easy to explore the city on foot. We really enjoyed a lovely evening on the hotel’s outdoor patio, relaxing with a drink in a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were extremely kind and attentive. Overall, a great experience and excellent value for money.

GermanyThe entire stay at the hotel has been excellent.
Hotel San Giorgio exceeded all my expectations! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. My room was spacious, spotless, and had a beautifully renovated bathroom. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the city center with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast had a great variety and was delicious. I also appreciated the private parking, which made things much easier. Overall, excellent service, comfort, and value for money. Highly recommend!

SloveniaThe breakfast could be a bit fresher. Otherwise portions and quality was ok.
The staff was excellent, they helped us with all of our questions. The room was clean and cosy. They have private gated parking. There is a large supermarket right behind the building.

SpainAt one point I had asked kindly if a friend of mine could come upstairs for 10´ to help me get ready for a dinner party and they wouldn´t let her in. I was in a hurry and ended up having to get changed somewhere else, in order to make sure I had everything right. Plus, my friend was rather shocked at the rudeness of the man who attended her.
The breakfast was good, as was the person working there in the morning. Very nice, very helpful. Brown hair, big smile at all times! The room was also very clean, albeit small (really, really small).

Lithuania-
It’s a really cozy and nice hotel in a good place (just 10 minutes by foot to the old town, bunch of restaurants & tourist attractions). The staff is super friendly and helpful! The closed parking was fully occupied, but there are parking spots on the street, which are not expensive. Also there’s a really nice restaurant next to the hotel with a cozy yard, so really convenient 🙂

GermanyThey barely spoke English, German or Russian. They behaved unprofessional and did not give us time to consider their proposed solutions to a parking problem. They say contradictory things about the security situation and have no understanding for concerns. The place appeared to be suffering from a lack of order.
They say, we can cancel it as communication was not possible and they did not understand our problems.

SloveniaI expected more options for breakfast (for example they had only the option of boiled eggs, fried or scrambeled were not an option) and it was quite noisy in the evening (cars can be heard from a nearby street).
The hotel staff were very kind. I liked the two terraces (one in first floor, one on ground floor) and the overall comfort feeling of the hotel. The location is also good, quite near the railway station and city center.

AustriaThe room did not have heating until 7 pm, in winter it was a bit chilly. The breakfast was a bit odd, off season, I got everything in the end but I had to ask for everything literally one by one.
It was close to the station and the city. Staff was very kind.

ItalyThe room smelled of smoke . The towels in the bathroom smelled of smoke. We suspect that the neighbours in the next room were smoking because the hotel did not smell of smoke.
Big and very clean room . Very nice staff and not far from the train station and center.

AustraliaThe bed was the most uncomfortable I have had. Small and very hard. Can feel the springs. The whole point of a hotel is you are renting a bed. That mattress was as cheap as possible. Horrendous Also. No iron. Just not an option
Position was fine. Ten minute walk to town centre. Amongst cafes and restaurants
