Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineCheck-in starting from 15.30. But when I arrived at this time my room wasn't ready yet. So I had to wait to move in. Sometimes there was a cigarette smell in my room and there is only one small window which you can open to get some fresh air. It would be nice to make a shelf in the shower.
This guest house is only a few minutes walking from Precotto metro station and it's easy to get here from Milano Centrale. It's an apartment in the basement with 3 rooms and a shared bathroom which was never busy. Self check-in is also nice, you will get all the instructions from the owner on WhatsApp. I liked the cleanliness in the apartment. My room was spacious, I got 2 sets of towels and some shower gel and shampoo.

United StatesThe room was hard to find as it was not made clear that it was a basement room. There was also residual cigarette smell.
The room was quiet, private, and clean. The neighborhood was not super busy and had some nice restaurants in walking distance, as well as plenty of good public transportation nearby.

United KingdomThe advertisement for this room is misleading. It is a 3 bedroom basement apartment in a residential area. All facilities (bathroom, kitchen) are shared amongst all guests. The apartment feels very sterile, and there was a surveillance camera mounted in the kitchen. The cleanliness of the bathroom in particular is incredibly dissapointing. The shower door had a lot of mould in its grooves, and the sealant was poorly done as there was a bad water leak on the floor after every shower I had. There were two communal mats in the bathroom that felt and looked incredibly unsanitary. We used our personal towel and the mat to help soak up the water. This was removed and never replaced when the apartment was cleaned. This meant that the bathroom frequently flooded for rest of our stay, and we had nothing to clean it with. This was very dangerous as I nearly fell several times while wearing the provided hotel slippers (which did not have any grip on the soles). The apartment was cleaned only when guests checked out. The bathroom had an open window (incredibly high up) which allowed a lot of insects to fly in, especially at night due to the bathroom light. As this could have been fixed easily by the host, I think this shows an incredible lack of care about the guests. The bedroom itself was okay. One duvet and a thick extra blanket was provided, but the blanket smelt very odd. As the host said there were no other blankets, I had to use this as my friend was using the duvet. The air conditioning worked well for most of the trip. However, in the beginning there were two days where it didn't. I contacted the host for help, but he stopped responding quickly. The air conditioning worked fine the day after, but I was not told if he had come to fix it (perhaps entering our room without informing us), or if the air conditioner just fixed itself. He was finally in touch on the last day of our trip, reminding me to leave behind the city tax. How thoughtful! Dissapointing stay.
The location was decent: Zone 2 of Milan, near to the Precotto Metro station, with a grocery store and kebab take away near it. The room had air conditioning, and the bed was comfortable. It has a washing machine and clothes horse that we used to wash our clothes during the stay.

NetherlandsBE AWARE: This is not a hotel or guesthouse. It is a basement in an apartment building. The kitchen and living room have no windows. The bedroom has a very small window, through which almost no daylight comes. It is very dark in that basement. The basement is also not insulated, so you hear everything around you. You hear the other guests, the dog of the upstairs neighbors, the street etc. The sheets were clean, unfortunately the basement itself was dirty. The walls are full of stains and the furniture is worn and dirty. There is a camera that continuously films the living room and the kitchen. This makes you feel uncomfortable. The dishwasher is broken. And according to other reviews for a long time. The plates and cutlery are dirty. I had to use plastic disposable plates. The basement is shared with two other rooms. So you are completely dependent on strangers to keep the basement clean, this of course does not work. The basement is not cleaned, only when someone leaves. They only give you one towel for a whole week. The advertised coffee machine is not present.
De kelder is dicht bij een metrostation en winkels.

AustraliaPay attention if you’re a single woman booking at this place! The location is not that bad! but the place and who manages it! I don't recommend it not even for free, the guy who manages it is extremely rude called Matteo, treats you as if you were sleeping there for free, tries to intimidate you the whole time! He literally abuses you sending you heaps of unnecessary messages which was very uncomfortable tho. He rented my room to someone else when I said first I was going to stay another night and wanted to pay by transferring money he said no only cash as I didn’t agree and wanted a receipt he said someone else took my room and if I wanted I had to move to another room but very shitty one so I didn’t agree of having to move to another room that was worst than mine for the same price when we had agree of staying in the same place and so I had to find something else at the last minute. He responds to you in the most rude way possible! The place smells of cigarettes everywhere in the common areas, the noise from the common areas and outside is unavoidable. The rooms are in a basement and good luck finding it and getting to sleep at night!
