We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ItalyThe rooms were not as refinished: some wires hanging from the wall, we had some issues with the tv and the aircon location was not great. Bathroom was also a bit outdated, but overall very good money for the location and service!

GermanyOne of the staff racially discriminated me, as he was chasing me like I was a thief only because I went the night before to put some stuff to my car. I have a 1 year old baby and could not let everything to the last minute so before going to dinner on our last night we decided to put one of the suitcases in the car( with stuff that were not needed so that we would not have to carry everything in the morning). Just because I am of a certain enthnicity he came running to check if I would leave without paying. When people for other certain ethnicities did the same there was no issue. Felt embarrassed and greatly offended just because I was trying to organise my trip before leaving the property. This is the only reason why I will never set my foot back to this hotel. The rest of the staff was AMAZING (helpful, friendly and super competent).

DenmarkThe hotel rooms were old and worn down, with holes in the walls and patches in the bathroom, which was very small. There were towels on the balcony by the Air conditionerto stop the air conditioner from leaking water. The noise insulation was terrible — you could hear people in the hallways, using their toilets, or walking across their floors. The breakfast buffet was large, but it focused more on quantity than quality. On the first day, I was assigned a specific table (right by the entrance), and I was expected to sit there for the entire stay. It was a spot where everyone passed by, and where the staff insisted on vacuuming during the busiest hours in the morning? I only had breakfast at the hotel 2 out of 7 times; the rest of the days I ate elsewhere in town. This was my third stop on my summer trip to Italy, and I stayed seven nights at Hotel Royal. I’ve been coming to Bibione during the summer for the past 25 years — but this was my first and last time at this hotel. When you arrive, the first thing you see is a lounge area for smokers — what a welcome, meeting other guests in a cloud of smoke. Smoking was allowed throughout the pool area and the hotel café, even with children around. The hotel rooms are old and run-down, with very low water pressure from a leaky shower in the bathroom. The noise levels were very high. And dust for weeks on the lamps. All communication at the hotel was conducted in Italian (understandably) or German — and not in English.
The hotel's location is close to the beach and the main street.
