How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room didn’t smell good and there were some small insects
It includes the breakfast and you can leave your bags before the check in and after the chek out

I left before the brekkie in the morning but the staff were accommodating to my late-ish check in with prompt and clear communication which put my stress at ease. Only was in and out for a quick stopover but check in/check out was easy, staff were polite and helpful, bed was comfy and bathroom was nice and clean.

Beds were SO UNCOMFORTABLE. Very noisy next door neighbors.
Breakfast is great, Denis (the guy who was there) was great and very responsive to everything. Location is great 15 mins walk from most attractions.

We expect, that in a room we could do tee or coffee. There is no posiibilty.
The brekfast is not symbolic and everyone can be glad. The apartment is in small distant do Tube Station and not far from Coloseo. The host is very nice and helpfull, give instruction e.g. where You can eat nearby or we can leave our bags on last day and go visit the Rome. The air conditioner is very usefull, can worm or cold the air.

Being Rome, everything is expensive. But apart from that, it was all good. Simple and basic room and bathroom.
The location was fantastic. Not too far from the train station and a 30min walk to the main historic center. The breakfast was great. Had everything you need. There was only 3 beds in the room I stayed in too, which made it very comfortable.

A little bit noisy beacause of sound permeable door. We were unpleasantly surprised that one morning there were no breakfast at all...

The room had a little of cigarette smell, so I had to spray some perfume around. The pillow was super high for my neck.
Good value for money. Perfect to just arrive there and sleep. Cute backyard and good breakfast.

Got biten by SO MANY mosquitoes during the night. Very thin walls, can easily hear other bedrooms or sounds from the street. Breakfast could really be improved.

Room was a bit cramped and bathroom could use a good cleaning.
Within 15 minute walk of Rome Termini station. The continental breakfast had excellent coffee and good breads.

You coun't use the kitchen, you had to ask permission every time you needed a spoon or a plate or a glass. Also the shared zone, which was quite small was always occupied by the reception guy and he was also listening to futboll matches very loud.
The fact that it had breakfast, you don't see that any more nowadays. The bed was farily ok. Location farily ok also.

Well from the Manzoni bus station you have to walk a bit and also the good ristorantes are atleast five to ten minutes away.
The owner as also the attendant are very friendly, breakfast was good and on time, it has a homely feel, besides I got to meet interesting room mates from Ecuador and Japan. People were open to conversations like a visitor from Moldova as also one from Ukraine whom I could converse with during breakfast. Being a media professional I feel good when people converse.

Negative points: the window was cracked, but there was no air coming through so maybe it was somehow fixed with the cracks. The shower head came off as soon as I started to use the shower, still managed to take my daily showers with no problem, just used it like a hose. The bedroom door had the lock in a pretty ruff state which made me think if my things would be there when I returned.
All in all it was a good experience. Positive points: Everything went smoothly, everything was where I left it for the 3 nights I spent there, and the breakfast was good as well. The location is awesome, 20 minute walk to the coloseum, lots of public transportation to go where you need to and lots of places nearby to grab a quick bite or to properly have your meal.
