How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Storage for cases and clothes is very limited
Very comfortable bed. Powerful shower. Fridge with complimentary water. Filippo the property manager was excellent, extremely helpful with tips and advice. He went above and beyond to help us when our train was cancelled.

Everything was more than great. Filippo, the host, was very, very helpful. The room is small, but enough for two people. It was very clean and everything a person would need, was provided. Will come again in the future

The room was nice and clean, location was good, no so far from the center and beach is about 20 minutes away by foot. There are soft towels and little fridge in the room and big bathroom, we really apreciate it.

No natural lights, it would be a little bit depressing for longer stay. The room was too narrow.
The room was well-equipped. Nice location, Bari Centrale is just 7-8 minutes away and the old town is close either. Filippo the apartmant manager was very helpful and kind!

Perfect apartment. Very clean, beautiful, modern. Excellent location. Filippo was the contact person who helped with everything and gave all the information. He does his job very well. I thank him. The owners of the house are super nice. Dora is a really cute, kind lady! I recommend this apartment to everyone! If we come back to Bari, we will definitely book here!

The owner could do some improvements to the smells coming from the pipes in the bathroom.
The property has a great positioning, near to city center and also near to some of supermarkets and restaurants. Also, we had a great help from Filippo - the host, meaning that he indicated all the details about the property and was kind enough to help us with the luggage in the day of the check out.

Great location, necessary things in the room such as a hairdryer and guidebooks. Clean and the air conditioning works well and quietly. The owner was nice and helpful. We highly recommend it.

The Room del Giglio is in a very good location withing 10 minutes walking to the old town and to the train station. The host is very kind, helpful, he contacted me before my arrival to plan the checkin,I wqs able to leave my luggages there. The room is very clean, the patio is small but great after a long day. Everything is very perfect with this property.

would have been great if there were some drinking glass in the room.
The location is perfect, walking distance to old town, central station etc … the manager of the place was very helpful, we arrived rather late in the evening but this was not an issue

Pretty thin roof, so it can be difficult to sleep during rainy nights.
Great location, Filippo was a great help and very responsive. The fact that he speaks English was a major reason for choosing the room. The owner was also nice and helpful.

No natural sunlight. No place to put your clothes other than to hang 8-10 items. You'll live out of your suitcase. We stayed 4 days. Included 'breakfast' is one cup of coffee and a pastry. Both are very good at cafe steps from room very friendly 👌
The room is very well appointed. Great attention to detail in mirrors and decor. Clever use of a compact space. Comfy bed and linens, large bath towels. Good location for walking and access to train. Great hub to travel to nearby Alberobello and Paglinano a Mare (go to both!)

Our stay was great, Filippo contacted us few days before our arrival, to let us know the procedure of check in. We had all the information, communicated through Whats app and it was super quick and convenient. Every time I wrote a question, I got an answer immediately. Filippo wos super helpful, recommended us restaurants, helped us with the luggages, etc. Room was very nice with a romantic vibe with design bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay.
