Dear Carmen, Upon reading your review, I am speechless as I had a long conversation with you and your guests during the period you stayed with us regarding the unexpected issues you had. I wanted to respond to your points to show that what you wrote does not reflect a correct description of what happened. But most importantly, I want to reply to your points in order to show to future guests that we do offer a high quality service. As written and highlighted on Booking on the homepage of our facility that you booked in December, under the House rules there is written that our facility is a guest house and not a 5-star hotel and most importantly, both on Booking and in the confirmation email you received at the time of booking, the reception hours are specified. Regarding the elevator, I personally apologized to you for the incident during your stay and explained that the management is not mine, but of the historic building where you stayed that is located in the center of Rome, a characteristic that offers you the opportunity to see most of the main monuments that are very close to us (less than a km). Regarding the 45 minutes you said you’ve been stuck in the elevator, thanks to our security systems, we had the possibility to check what happened and we can reply that they were 19 and not 45. Concerning the number (subsequently verified with one of them) that you and your guests dialed, I pointed out that after the language choice, by selecting option 2 you could have been connected to our staff, who could have helped you. However, the call was never activated and never reached our switchboard and moreover, as it was confirmed to me, you never heard the message for emergencies. For the malfunctioning of the door opening, as explained to you, technology sometimes creates these malfunctions, and for this I apologize again. Even though this inconvenience, the problem was solved in 43 minutes, not hours as you say. Also in this case, you did not select option 2 of the number reported everywhere with which you could have spoken with one of our staff. With respect to the breakfasts I feel deeply offended by your words because as you could have seen I was personally present every morning to prepare them and to offer you and your guests very high-quality products, which I think you enjoyed. As you will remember, every morning I came to ask if you wanted more and only once was it asked a request that has been satisfied by bringing another plate of ham and cheese. Referring to the keys that you are sure you left in your room, I personally searched them after your report, and I assure you, having checked everywhere, that you did not leave them in your room. To conclude, I wanted to remind you that the amount of your stay that you reported in your review is not correct, because you did not pay 1400€ but a lower amount. In light of what has been written in my response, in which I believe I have reported what really happened (also by interrogating devices capable of doing this), I politely/kindly ask if you could delete this review, as I believe it is not fair to the staff and myself who were at your disposal during the period you stayed with us. Dear Francisco, We are very thankful for your review and of how much you have appreciated the work that we do every morning to try to offer different breakfasts every day with typical Italian products. I understand your point of view on breakfast time, but as I mentioned, the property is a Guest House and not a hotel and for this reason we cannot offer services similar to the hotels’ ones. As you have noticed, the attention of breakfast is very important for us and I personally do the research of typical products in order to offer you dishes that are always different so as to instill new and special emotions everyday. To do and succeed in this, we need time and, especially love for what we do, which I think you had the possibility to experience and taste. Dear Guillermo, In thanking you for taking some time to review us I would like to remember that our property is a Guest House and not a Hotel. As you have highlighted and noticed, our property can be considered as unique, not only for his location but especially for other factors such as: the breakfast, that is one of a kind as you had the possibility to try it,the cleanness, the sanitisation of all the spaces through a specific device (named: microdefender) that is used in operating rooms and last, but not least, the professionalism of our staff. I personally believe that the low evaluation that you gave us does not represent the experience and emotions that you had the possibility to try in the period you’ve been our guest.
