A bit of noise, not so good of insulation and the AC is very noisy I can't use it when sleeping. And if opening the window there is a lot of music and people in the streets during night.

The only complaint is it was very hot outside when we were there and the air conditioning never made it more than lukewarm. If you don't need to sleep on the cooler side or are not traveling in the very hot time then not a big deal at all.

The hotel was perfectly located. One block from the Duomo. On the same street steps away from dining and shopping. The hotel was beautiful. The rooftop was magical especially at night.

Hosts are simply great - kind, very accommodating and helpful, they will greet you warmly and with a smile on their face. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Matera and very easy to find. We booked one of the apartments that had a terrace and got the chance to enjoy such lovely views of the city. ❤️ The place was very clean and comfortable, equipped with everything you might need. We really enjoyed our stay, and would love to return someday, hopefully in the near future. Thank you so much for everything!🙏🏻

Comfortable apartment in the heart of the Sassi. The rooftop terrace was the highlight of our stay. Seeing the Sassi lit up at night is amazing as is watching the place come to life early in the morning. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by. The apartment is ideally located for exploring both the Sassi and the main square in Matera. Really friendly and helpful owners. We enjoyed his stories of his father's work. They have an amazing family owned store with not only gifts and souvenirs, but a fantastic miniature model of the Sassi handmade by his father. We were also given tickets to visit their authentic Cave experience which is a must do.

Not sure air conditioning would be effective during hotter weather - was okay when we had windows open in the evening to let in cool evening air. Kitchen facility was quite minimal, but adequate for a short stay.

Interesting location in Matera’s Sassi Barisano, walkable, close to the ravine and interesting sights throughout the historic Sassi area. Quite far from the bus stop on Via Don Luigi Sturzo. Cab fare may be close to €20. Room is not in a cave house. There is a small kitchenette, sleeping area with twin beds in a loft for children, and a bathroom. Air conditioning was not working effectively when we were there. Upper terrace (reached by stairs) has a great panoramic view of Sassi Barisano.

Amazing location in the middle of the unique sassi neighbourhood, and with a spectacular view of the historic buildings from the roof top terrasse. The owner Henrico was very kind and helpful.

Our room was wonderful. It was clean, quiet and had a private balcony at the roof accessible by stairs. The kitchen area was well equipped with essentials and was very tidy. The bathroom was also very clean. The accommodation is in Sasso Barisano and everything around is walkable.

Were given a warm welcome, and owner was really helpful, looking after our luggage after checkout. The apartment was modern and comfortable, nice little kitchen area, good shower and bathroom and in an excellent location. The terrace , even though shared with another apartment, was the highlight and we enjoyed our own drinks, snacks in the evening and breakfast the next morning on the terrace overlooking the Sassi.

Only downside to the room itself was the bed which has a frame that extends out from the mattress and makes stubbing your toes a frequent and painful event. The hotel is in a pedestrian only zone, which is good, but cannot be reached using Google Maps. It should have been a 15 minute walk, but we walked in circles for 2 hours with our bags and finally took a taxi. The directions provided by the host were insufficient. It would have been helpful if he had provided us with a map with the walking route shown, or told us about the city bus. No breakfast is provided and the only nearby cafe doesn’t open until 9:00 am, so you have to walk 10 minutes uphill to a cafe in the piazza.

Great location in the heart of the old town. Modern furnishings, good storage, good AC, large bathroom with large counter. Very clean. Helpful host. Located on the tourist walking route and only 20 meters from a red bus stop (circulates from the station through the old town). Free tickets to the adjacent Casa Grotta and the Sassi in Miniatura were provided by the host.
