There’s only a narrow road between your hotel window and the Lake Como water but at the speed that Italians drive it can be noisy if you have your window open.

The perfect location and sensational views make this old family run hotel great value. The bus stop is right on the doorstep and the ferry to Bellagio is 3 minutes walk away. After the tourist masses at Bellagio we loved the down-to-earth restaurant at Hotel Riviera with fun staff and a lively mix of locals. There’s also a great local bar right next door.

Noise from the street and very small room

Amazing view from the window (although 3rd floor windows are smaller). Close to ferry port. Good breakfast

The proximity to the road, however this was forgiven quickly with the views and friendliness experienced and becomes very quiet by evening anyway.

Our greeting was exceptional on arrival and throughout our stay Andrew our knowledgable host was more than helpful with any of our needs and enquiries on local amenities and activities. The view from our room was fabulous and the building while dated was charming. Easy access to the ferry and very central to other Lake Como towns for day trips.

We would have liked tea and coffee making facilities available in our room, or in a common area on each floor.

Place was a bit outdated (newer bed cover would make a huge difference) and the breakfast was mostly packaged. I missed having fresh produce like bread, eggs and cheese, there was only ham and I'm vegetarian.

The room had a view to the lake. The manager was very friendly and brought us fresh pastries for breakfast.

Rooms could do with modernisation, but the price reflects this

Rooms were clean, the view was brilliant, staff were very friendly, onsite parking although not secured I felt safe parking my motorcycle there. Was a restaurant attached to the hotel that served nice food

The view from our room overlooking the lake was fabulous, the room its self was very comfortable. The hosts were friendly and provided an excellent breakfast. There is a car park at the hotel and the ferry is only a short walk away if you fancy a trip elsewhere. Would definately stay here again

Tea/coffee making in room would be good

Great view over lake Como but balconies not on all rooms. Location short walk to ferry to Bellagio. Good continental breakfast. Large room. Pleasant helpful staff.

Perfect location to explore the area. Away from crowds with frequent ferries to Varrena and Bellagio. Villa Carlota is in the walking distance. Cozy and clean hotel with the lovely view. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast at the terrace. We truly enjoyed our stay, thank you

The only negative isn't really the hotel's fault. The walls are quite thin and our neighbor left their TV on very loud until 3-4am one night which made it difficult to sleep. Only 1 plug socket in the room worked and one plug socket in the bathroom.

The view from our room. Was stunning! The location was incredible, we got the train to varenna and. Then hopped on a ferry to cadanabbia, the hotel was less than 2 minutes walk Quite a few places to eat nearby too, including a little pizzeria/bar which was fabulous. We missed our ferry back from Como and got a bus one night and the bus stops literally outside the hotel which was fantastic and an extra bonus after a long day. The breakfast was basic but great as it had everything you would need, boiled eggs, bread, butter , soft cheese, cereals, juices , pastries. The coffee machine was fabulous too! The host always had a smile and was lovely Shower was lovely
