How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

This apartment was perfect for a few days in Parma. 5 min from both train station and city center. Location was perfect. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was spotless. Bathroom super clean as well. We really appreciated having water bottles left in the room as well as the minifridge. The host(s) were very friendly and accommodating, and answered our messages immediately. Overall would recommend to anyone staying in Parma and would definitely stay there again if we visit Parma again

There was a bit of a smell in the bathroom/toilet

Lights along the corridor could be less harsh (warmer tones)
Room was very clean, spotless and tidy. 3 min walk from the train station but still quiet. Staff was extremely patient and kind with the check in

The apartment is within the ZTL, that is both a positive and negative aspect. Indeed, it means that it is in the very center of Parma, but parking is only available for a fee (12€ / day) at a few minutes distance on foot, there is no private parking or parking on the street just below the apartment.
We had a nice welcome when we arrived, and since we were unsure about the time of our arrival the owners were very flexible and easy to contact. The room is spacious and clean, and the small breakfast corner was much appreciated.

Everything about this accommodation was lovely, new and comfortable. I stayed only for one night after a very long and tiring trip and Residenza via Verdi had all the conveniences I hoped for and more: it is located 3 minutes from the train station on foot, in a safe and clean building, and the unit itself is impeccably clean and beautifully kept. There was water and juice in the room and tea and coffee in the shared area, everything was very generously stocked and perfect. I was welcomed by two very friendly and hospitable gentlemen who made me feel very welcome and explained everything there was to know about the place. It was most appreciated to meet people who care about their business and do it with such skill and pride - much better than opening a door with a code, much more human. I recommend this perfect place warmly to other travelers.

A few random things - There wasn’t much soundproofing, so you could hear your neighbors. Wasn’t too big of an issue except for one night our neighbors came back at 4 am. The hallway outside the main door is really dark, and we weren’t told how to turn those lights on so had to use our phones. Once the water in the shower heated up, it then turned ice cold before turning super hot - it was really hard to regulate the temperature.
Great location and really good value. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was nice, really appreciated the coffee and croissants. Nice big room, and good wifi.

This property was the best property I stayed at for my whole entire Italian holiday. The staff welcomed me with open arms. The room was spotlessly clean. It was close to everything I required. It was safe, secure and had coffee making facilities, microwave and croissants available in the common area which I used daily. The bed was also the most comfortable bed next to my own.

Nothing, it was great.
Everything was clean and new. Beds were really comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We arrived early and they were happy to let us leave our luggage. And also let us check in early.

Quite noisy. My room was situated at the outer side of the building with a view on a side street. All street noise entered the room. Windows (although with shutters) were not sound proof at all. Besides the coffee machine plus the modest breakfast supplies were situated in the narrow hall in front of my room door. Depending on the other guests: very noisy again.
Excellent in many ways. Nice room. Everything you need present. Good bed. Very kind staff. Very clean. Only 5 minutes from the city centre.

Everything about the room, facilities, and staff was wonderful, 10 out of 10. I just think I would have liked to stay a bit further away from the train station/ more in the central part of the town.
The staff was extremely helpful, courteous, and responsive. The room was new and very clean with a nice bathroom. There was coffee and snacks in the communal area which was very nice.
