Reviews of Micheli Suite Anfiteatro Square

We have stayed here before and couldn’t wait to return. A beautiful and well equipped apartment overlooking wonderful Piazza dell’Anfiteatro. You can watch the world go by from above. Coffee and breakfast and wine kindly provided.

The location is incredible. Overlook the main square in lucca. The room is a great size for a couple or family. The bed overlooks the square as well. The bathroom is a good size and has good water pressure. The kitchen has most things you would need. Very clean space. The staff was very friendly. A very nice bottle of wine upon arrival from the owners whose wine it was, very good wine. The fridge was stocked with water and some food for breakfast, which was great to not have to worry about upon arriving.

The AC unit wasn't able to cool the place down very well. The ceilings are very high, and the AC unit works well, just isn't large enough for the open room and high ceilings. Beyond that, it was perfect. Note it was in the 90s while I was in Florence, any other time of year I am sure this isn't the same issue. It is up some stairs, which might be an issue for some. My internet didn't work during the time I was there but the hosts were responsive and had to get the company to fix the issue.

The location was amazing , the person who came to assist us could not have been more helpful and polite . The provisions were exceptional, complimentary wine and fantastic snacks / breakfast products available . It is also an absolutely stunning property. ( and in the best square in Lucca ! )

The spacious apartment is ideally placed right in the centre of the city overlooking one of the main areas. This has pros and cons. The pros are the views are great and you are right in the centre. The cons are that there is a fair bit of noise from the square, including music from the restaurants that go to late in the night (1am ish) and start again (restaurants getting deliveries etc) from about 6.30am. We had to sleep with the windows open due to the heat. We mainly booked as the listing said aircon included. There is NO aircon or fans in the apartment, which you should take into consideration when booking. As mentioned in another review there are 37 fairly steep internal steps up to the apartment which may affect accessibility for some. Having said the above we really enjoyed our stay there, and the bottle of wine was most welcome !

This is a beautiful place with a kitchen/dining area, good sized bathroom and bedroom with an amazing view of the Piazza. The person who greeted us was lovely and friendly. A basic breakfast was provided within the property including pastries, coffee and a few treats. We were able to cook and enjoy the bottle of wine that was left for us. We would definitely recommend.

Large apartment in a perfect location. 37 steps up to the apartment which could be an issue for some. Very well equipped with plenty of food stuff in the fridge and a complimentary bottle of wine . Would definitely recommend

Amazing location, authentic, rustic Italian accommodation. Spacious, excellent facilities, where the only blemish being nowhere comfortable to sit. Other than that, excellent.

Breakfast provision needs improving & could be brought me regularly & been fresher.

Clean and well maintained. The is a good blend of keeping the old and providing comfort and modern facility. Well done! The view was very nice as well.

This property was incredible. The room opened onto the piazza, the building was historic but very well kept, it was quiet and comfortable and location was perfect.

It was spacious, well stocked located in the heart of things. We appreciated the complementary wine and the breakfast offerings available in the room.

The shower door was interesting. There was a slight drainage problem.

We have stayed 3 times now and this will always be our happy place. Everything is exceptional and we thank the owners and staff for making our stay so special. It’s beautiful

The rustic charm of this place is lovely. The feeling you get looking over the Piazza watching all of the hustle and bustle and wondering what it was like back in Roman times is really like you are part of it.

Amazing apartment with spectacular view

When we arrived back to the hotel late at night, another guest had locked us out. This should not be possible.

The flat was beautiful, views fantastic, location wonderful, ease of checking in was great and everything you needed was close by.

A bit of a mildew smell in the bathroom but it was very clean.
