The hotel’s location was decent — about a 15-minute walk from the train station, with bus stops just 2 minutes away. Most major sights were within a 10–15 minute walking distance. Communication with the staff was clear and sufficient, and both check-in and check-out processes were very straightforward. Having complimentary water and coffee available outside the room at all times was a thoughtful touch. You can sit on the balcony and enjoy your coffee while soaking in Florence’s magical atmosphere. The lack of an elevator is indeed a downside, especially for those who have difficulty with stairs. However, considering you’re staying in a preserved residence in a historic city like Florence, it’s understandable and even part of the charm.

Toilet was too small. Toilet bowl was very tight to sit on. My right knee was restrained by the toilet paper holder.

It was not a problem for us but stairs in the apartment we were in were open at one side which would not be ideal for some visitors, such as v young children or older guests.

The stairs to the mezzanine bedroom were dangerous and with no landing made it very precarious. You need to have the shower door open to use the toilet. Just to mention there is 70 stairs to the 3rd floor where we stayed and could be a factor if you have mobility issues this review is for 6f so the other rooms may be different.

Great staff and location. Bed was comfortable, good water pressure in shower, coffee and croissant voucher for local cafe, coffee machine on lower floor and filter water.

Wifi dropped in and out from our room (room 11), the water pressure in the shower was poor, and one of the power sockets was falling out of the wall.

Staff were lovely, helping us carry our bags upstairs and giving some great local food and drink recommendations. Great location and reasonable value for money.

The shower was a bit to small

The location, the room was really clean and it had a personal touch by providing things such as chocolates, toothbrushes, soap etc. The staff was friendly and willing to help any time.

The room was really small and the bedroom was in a loft up an open staircase. It was very creaky and we were worried we’d take a tumble!

There were some mosquitos the first two nights and I got bitten. Bit of a slog to the third floor on the stairs. Couldn't quite fit in the bathroom but then I'm a large person. Street itself is a bit grungy.
