There room tends to get very warm and the airco was a bit old fashioned, we unfortunately didn’t managed to cool down the room to a comfortable level during the night.

We stayed 2 nights and especially enjoyed the view from the terrace. Next to that, the residenza is located perfectly to explore Matera and the breakfast in one of the nearby cafe’s is good. There’s a coffee machine, wine glasses and a wine opener in the room. Would definitely recommend to stay here when visiting Matera!

The A/C in the room was a bit weak (even though it was set to 'high'). But all it took was to open the window (the outside noises were distant enough) and the door to the terrace above, and the room was freshly aired.

A lovely boutique room with a terrace commanding gorgeous views over Matera. Quiet, even though very centrally and super conveniently located. A great spot to explore this unique city. Needless to say, everything was spotless, and the bathroom was very comfortable with a great shower.

The location of the place is perfect. You can discover both parts of Sassi di Matera from here and the sqare, where it is located has an authentic italian atmosphere. We had the room with the big terrace with view. So the view was amazing, the room was a bit small, really just a room with a bed, but it was compensated by the view and location. It was clean and easy to communicate with the owner. A church is right next to it, so you should expect some bells ringing, though during the night there were no bells ringing, so it was no problem at all.

No functional kitchen e.g. for making a nice breakfast to enjoy the roof terrace. Though there is enough space to equip the apartment with more basics (e.g. a microwave). There are no water glasses though wine glasses, there is no option for making a tea though there is an espresso machine for coffee. Also, as we were facing unexpected cold days during our stay, the heating system came out to be complicated to handle - we solved it at the end with the personal help from the host. And, who says in gods sake that opening the FRONT DOOR with a QR code is a practical thing just because it's the modern (?) way and easier for the host.

The location was perfect. Close to historical attractions, bars and restaurants. There is also the added bonus of the use of the private sun terrace. Perfect for relaxing after a long day sighting seeing.

Everything was great. It is ideal for a short stay as it doesn't have kitchen and dining stuff.

The host was very helpful. We got parking tips from him, keep in mind that you'll have to park about 700m further. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and the bathroom had a big shower.

Fantastic location. Clean and tastefully decorated. We had the room without balcony. Considering the lovely location and potential views we wished we had paid abit more and upgraded to the balcony room. Lovely stay though in a nice place.

Mattress not very comfortable. This was the only down point. It was also a bit strange not having anyone to receive us but in the end Mattia shared all the info anyway and was always available via WhatsApp.

There is nothing i didn't like.

Amazing location - the room came with a private terrasse with gorgeous views over the old city. This allowed us to experience the city vibe at all times, having a quiet glass of wine on the terrasse while admiring the view towards the cathedral. Very good contact with owner, friendly and helpful, with impeccable English. The facilities are perfect and I though accommodation is great value for money. Very good breakfast at coffee place nearby - tasty croissants and good coffee included!
