I liked everything.

Perfect location- backing onto the famous amphitheatre square. My room was beautiful-in an authentic old Italian building with views over the street yet very quiet and cool( great air conditioning). Added bonus was a lovely kitchen with an excellent coffee machine and views over the square. Valentina is absolutely lovely- I felt very well looked after and she was always in touch checking that everything was ok. Such a perfect place to stay in gorgeous Lucca and to be highly recommended.

Perfect location (even better than I’d realised from the description!) opposite the San Frediano basilica in the heart of Lucca. Overlooking the Piazza dell’Anfiteatro and 5 min walk from the city walls.

We spent only 1 night in this wonderful place, and we would like to stay longer... maybe one day we come again!

Great place in the old building in the very center of Lucca with magnificent view to the Amphitheatre square from the kitchen ♥️ the room was beautiful and comfortable and Valentina was extremely kind and nice for us! It's difficult to come by car to the center, but Valentina helped us to get a 30 minuts permission to take off luggage, after that we left the car on the parking 10 minutes walk.

The stairs!! Had to carry 2 very heavy suitcases up 3 sets of narrow stairs. The property is heritage listed as, so installing a lift is not an option. If you have any mobility issues, this wouldn’t be the place for you The apartment is also not close to the station so a bus or taxi is necessary if you arrive by train. Valentina gave clear instructions on how to catch the bus, however, that day, the buses weren’t running as per instructions. No one’s fault, just part of being in Italy … lol

Loved everything about the apartment apart from the stairs! Gorgeous location within the walls of Lucca , only a few steps from Piazza del’ Anfiteatro . Double glazed windows allow for quiet from the hustle and bustle outside. The room was clean and well appointed. Serviced daily, which we hadn’t expected. A great shared kitchen so we could make breakfast before exploring. Stunning views over Lucca from the kitchen window . You could easily cook if you wanted to but with so many great restaurants to choose from, why would you? Our hostess, Valentina was lovely - a bright and cheerful lady , full of information. Communication was simple and efficient. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Residenza VillAnfi for your stay in the gorgeous village of Lucca

Residenza FillAnfi has an excellent location, within the old city of Lucca, with a great view of the former Roman amphitheatre from the breakfast room. Very well organised, with several messages coming to explain how to get into the building and find my way around inside. Clean and comfortable. Being an historic building, there are flights of stairs to climb to get up to the Residenza. When I left something behind, I was texted within the hour and was able to go back for it.

The shared kitchen was hot in the mornings because the remote control for the air conditioner was taken away at night. So, I could not use the room.

We really enjoyed our stay! From the moment we arrived, Valentina made us feel so welcome. Our room was large and comfortable. Plenty of room to unpack and move suitcases out of the way. The bathroom was also large with a blissful shower—excellent water pressure, plenty of room to move, and fluffy towels! The bed linens were very comfortable and smelled so fresh! The entire guesthouse was spotless! I had to work while we were there and Valentina encouraged me to use the kitchen common area. Overlooking the Anfiteatro, the kitchen is well equipped and even offers frizzante water from a tap! We highly recommend staying with Valentina in her lovely guesthouse that is perfectly situated for seeing Lucca, walking the wall, or popping out the porta for a walk outside the city center. We can’t wait to visit Valentina again!

The location was excellent on via Fillungo, hyper Centre but still peaceful. Everything was spotlessly clean and Valentina was the most friendly, efficient and informative host I have ever met. She certainly went above and beyond! The bedroom and bathroom were lovely.

There is nothing that I didn’t like.

We liked everything about this property, especially the superb hosting of Valentina and the immaculate cleaning by Mary. Their warmth and kindness made our stay memorable. Our room was spacious and had a great view of the plaza, tower and front elevation of San Frediano Church - A real gem! The bonus was the view from the kitchen window, which we enjoyed almost every day: an uninterrupted panorama of the amphitheater and Guinigi Tower. The kitchen is well stocked with a fantastic water fountain that provides ‘acqua Frizzante’ 24 hours a day. Everything was provided for a comfortable, safe and pleasant stay.

Everything. Historic building with authentic features maintained. Valentina, the manager, was incredible. She was there if needed and invisible if not. We asked for some hints, and she sent restaurant ideas and events on WhatsApp, including The Giro d'Italia cycling event, which was on whilst we were there, Valentina is a very welcoming and delightful person. There is a kitchen/diner on the top floor with excellent facilities and a beautiful view of the ampiteatro. Some free coffee pods were left in our room, and small individually-wrapped cakes and biscuits were left every day in the kitchen for guests to enjoy, together with free water and drink making facilities. Best of all - the location of the property is superb. We shall definitely return.

Absolutely nothing however, people should be aware that there's no lift to the three flight walk up to the room.

We Ioved absolutely everything about this lovely place in Luca! The staff were warm and welcoming, our room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the location was perfect. The rooftop shared kitchen with a view of the amphitheater was an added bonus & highlight. Our host, Valentina was incredibly helpful, available for help and knowledgeable about things to do and places to see in Luca.

A perfect Residenza to enjoy Lucca. The building is ancient but the rooms are modern and to a high standard. There is a charming old dining room / kitchen where you can prepare simple food and make coffee. This has great view over the Piazza Anfiteatro. Valentina was an exceptionally friendly and helpful hostess and the check in and out were easy. All good... Happy to recommend!
