This is a lovely place to stay in Castellabate in May. We parked in a little free parking area below the hotel and outside the old town, with just a couple of flights of stairs to go up (and the very nice family owners helped us with bags). They gave us very good restaurant recommendations and suggested trips, places to swim at check-in - all good. Room was charming, with a little table and chairs on the balcony with sea views and overlooking the hotel courtyard. Very comfy bed and quiet at night, good breakfast on the terrace with excellent coffee and sea views. This is an interesting (we still haven’t seen the film Benvenuti al Sud, which used the hotel ‘lobby’ for some scenes) and extremely pleasant, easy place to stay.

Everything was perfect

The place was fantastic! We were lucky enough to get an even nicer room than the one we had originally booked, as it was available. I really appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, everyone was warm and welcoming. Lello is an amazing host!

Our room had no view. We didn't realize that when we booked.

The host is very friendly and helpful(he speaks no English so use a translater on your phone). The nearby restaurant Bonara is excellent with the best Pizza we had in Italy.

Ciro, our host, was waiting outside to welcome us when we arrived, parking was right outside and free. The property is on a hillside so there were a few steps but it does mean that you get to enjoy the view over the sea and bay below. Our host showed us to our room, it was wonderful, clean and comfortable. It was simply and tastefully decorated with a very comfortable large bed. Our room had a good sized balcony equipped with table and chairs. The balcony looked straight out over the bay and the sea beyond and the view continued around to see the neighbouring hills and valleys so we could sit outside and have a glass of wine whilst enjoying the setting. And if this wasn't enough, our room had a porthole in the shower - this was incredible (note - not all rooms are the same) - everything here is so nice - the property, the setting, the room, the host and the village! We are quite picky about where we stay and I had forgotten how good this place looked online - we did not intend on deviating this far from our Amalfi drive but having spent just one night here we are so glad we did. We loved this place so much it made us think about coming back to stay for longer and to explore this area of Italy.

It was just exceptional. The location and the views are great, it's so quiet in the middle of a maze of small alleys. Our host was amazing, so friendly, such a warm welcome and so hospitable. We felt at home and really valued as guests.

To get property it is a little confusion where entrance. But the location, the room and friendliness of the staff more than made up for this when I eventually found it

Excellent location with a wonderful view of the sea and Cilento coast and a great balcony (junior suite). Perfect if you have a car to reach all great spots around like beaches and other villages. Be prepared to walk some stairs but for us it was great and Castellabate very nive villagea. Ciro and the staff were great and very helpful with everything.

Very nice view from the room, kind and very friendly owner, delicious breakfast. The small town was very cute. We stayed in the town's 900th birthday, and we enjoyed the cerebrating event. The other day, the owner offered us apperitivo with homemade dishes.

If you are tall, watch out for the rafters in the ceiling. I had a lot of bumps.

Stunning location set with panoramic views of the sea and mountains. Welcoming and friendly proprietor who greeted us on arrival and helped us throughout our stay. Fantastic service with traditional breakfast seated on the terrace with lovely views. Great base for exploring Castellabate on foot via the small quaint pathways directly outside the hotel and the surrounding areas. Perfect hotel to just chill out and unwind as well as exploring the surroundings. Free easily accessible parking available which is a big bonus. We will definitely return in the near future.

No complaints. Guests should know they will need to climb some stairs, and it is helpful (though not necessary) if they can speak and understand a bit of Italian.

The place is charming. Fantastic view of the ocean and nearby towns from our suite (and our shower!) and the common terrace. The hotel is in the historic hilltop town of Castellebate. The town is quiet, which we liked--lots of narrow walkways and stairs, a few bars and restaurants. Hotel staff (owners?) Lello and Ciro (sp?) were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was simple but very nice with fresh coffee and pastries, yogurt, and juice. The suite's kitchen is small but included almost everything we wanted. Free parking was just across the street.

No complains .Loved everything

Beautiful location with spectacular views from the private garden. It was great to have access to the garden 24/7. A good breakfast was served in the garden for an affordable price. Our host was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable. He even came to collect us when we were left stranded in town in the middle of the night on our arrival from the airport. If you would like to stay at a friendly family run hotel with a host that is always happy to help and make you feel at home then Residenza D'epocaTamara is the perfect place for you.
