Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThis is absolutely not the fault of the accommodation, but just for everyone to be aware: if you arrive by car, be prepared for the worst parking conditions. You can't park on the streets, only in parking garages, and if you do so, it will cost you a fortune. We just parked there for 1 day and 5 hours and it cost us 76 EUR. The best would probably be to park outside the city (Parcheggio Autostradale "Drive and Tramway” Villa Costanza) and take a tram to the city.
The location is perfect, few minutes walking distance from the cathedral, Uffizi, and all main sights. The room was beautiful and clean, air conditioning worked well. The check-in was simple, the staff was nice, they offered free luggage storage before the check-in.

SwedenWe had a great experience – the staff were the loveliest: incredibly helpful, warm, and friendly throughout our stay. The location was perfect, right in the heart of everything, making it so easy to explore. Our room was spacious and beautifully maintained, with a large bathroom and comfortable beds. Everything was clean, stylish, and just what we needed.

SpainThere’s no elevator and it was about four flights of steps to get to our hotel room. The building is very old and it is not the only hotel located in the same place. When you check in, they explain to you quickly how to navigate and get to your room, but the building is so big that it is Difficult either way. It would have been better if they have someone escort you all the way to your room so you don’t wander into an incorrect part of the building like we did.
Amazing hotel rooms located in a very old building, but the rooms were renovated and new. The rooms were absolutely huge and very comfortable bright in the middle of the old district and in a great location to get to explore the best parts of Florence without feeling unsafe. Surrounded by a bunch of restaurants and right across the street from a theater with a great art vibe. As soon as you exit the building you can tell you are in the best part of town day or night. Also a lot of different bars and a mix of locals, exchange students, and random groups of people just having a good time and exploring while partying throughout the night. Would definitely recommend to anyone especially for the price and what you’re getting. The staff was even nice enough to not charge us to keep our bags there for three hours after we checked out to go have breakfast at another restaurant.

We stayed in two different rooms. The first one was a family room and it was ginormous and we had a view to the interior garden. The second room was smaller but nevertheless spacious enough. We loved the history of the palazzo and the location. The staff was really kind and helpful. Would definitely book it a second time❤️

RomaniaWhen we came into the building (it is vast with internal courtyard, many hallways and corridors, many stairs, connecting rooms etc) it was very hard to find the office from where to make the check-in and take the keys. We had a room a 2nd floor, and there were more than 60 steps to go up to the room; no elevator. The staff was only 1 person that sitted in an improvised “office” room. Operating Schedule only 3 hours from 15-18 after that hour nobody was available at the location nor do they respond on phone/whatsapp so be sure to clarify or ask for anything in that time interval. Room (although very spaceous) was very scarce decorated and furnished (bed, wardrobe, small table, chairs and mirror). No glasses to drink from or minibar(drinks, snacks). No cutlery, electric water kettle, tea/coffee pods nor anything. Never in my life have i stayed at an accomodation where you don’t have anything useful at hand. Had to go down into the street and buy some paper cups from a coffeeshop :(. I wrote on whatsapp to the staff and inform them about missing glasses and they just shadowed us, not even a reply or appologise ( totally unprofessional attitude towards paying guests). Location has no cleaning staff. Nobody to make the beds, take out the garbage, change towels etc. Also there were heavy constructions in several corridors and areas in the building that made noise all day, taking out dust and rubish and renovating other spaces and making noise from early in the morning, aspects that we were not informed of. Dust everywhere. Also kinda noisy in the evening and night from the street below and tourists shouting, laughing and drinking in the streets. So, overall a mixed feeling between great location and no so great conditions
The building dates back to the 15th century and originally served as the residence of several wealthly Florentine families. It is very well situated right in the heart of the city, close to major landmarks, also restaurants, shops, cafes, public transport C2 line from the train station etc. Rooms are very spaceous and the building retains many original Renaissance architectural elements, such as painted ceilings in the rooms, doors, windows, iron decorative elements. Comfy bed, large 2 sink bathroom with white marble and modern ammenities. Smart tv with lots of channels and online apps
