Bathroom could be a little bigger.

This is a gem of a property with a great location in Florence. It feels like you are entering someone's home. The room was large and lovely. The breakfast was extraordinary and Sebastien was a wonderful host. We did the cooking class with him that included a trip to the market and tasting of cheeses and charcuterie. It was truly an excellent experience.

It would have been helpful if we were given instructions on how to operate the television.

The staff was delightful and very accommodating. The location was perfect- we could come back to the hotel to cool off and take a break. The place was spotless. Just delightful.

Florence is very crowded and traffic is crazy. Fortunately, the hotel is a respite from all of that.

From the moment you enter the property you're greeted with the most amazing scent. The sensory experience continued with a lovely Florentine room, and a morning plated breakfast served by staff. There's a DIY bar with water, juices and sodas, and liquor to DIY your own mixed drinks. The bathroom was fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body lotion infused with property's signature scent. The Residenza D'Epoca evoked the whole sensory experience that is Florence.

Not a problem for us but the bathroom door did not close, perhaps shave bottom of door for guests who would prefer option to close. It would be nice to have wine offerings at your bar for guests who do not like the hard alcohol. It seemed only option was to purchase.

The location, the traditional decor, the breakfast room and offerings were wonderful. Great staff, friendly and responsive. I would stay again.

The staff is wonderful- so cheerful and considerate. The breakfast was amazing. The room was charming. Everything was spotless. The sitting room with an honor bar and water and soft drinks on the house so Appreciated during the heat wave. Sebastian was helpful and so caring. Great hotel!

The crowds in Florence, in inPiazzadellasignoria has no control over the crowds.

I’ve been staying here since they opened nearly 25 years ago. It’s the only place to stay in Florence. Everything is superb, from the outstanding breakfast to the knowledge of management, specifically Monica and Umberto this time. Nothing better than staying in a place where management are locals - they know the area better than anyone.

I really enjoyed the Residenza d'epoca . The location is excellent. It is easy to walk to everything and the Uffizi gallery sits just outside on the square. The room was big and comfortable which was a surprise. The staff are excellent. They are so accommodating and helpful. Unfortunately I missed breakfast due to sleeping in but am sure it was wonderful as the whole stay. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Florence.

Everything was absolutely perfect

I can not say enough good things about this boutique hotel. The staff and owners are fantastic. The building itself is exquisite and masterfully appointed with period decor, and every amenity. Breakfast was so amazing in an ancient dining room with other guests. The food was made to order and was delicious. The most beautiful place I have ever stayed. I felt like royalty in this place!

The staff at this hotel are amazing and so friendly. The rooms are also gorgeous, so much history in them. The location is amazing, you are right in the middle of everything with the Piazza on your doorstep.

Everything was perfect - the staff look after you so well and the hotel has everything you need. Breakfast with other guests is a nice touch as you can trade ideas for the day. The location is brilliant - right in the centre and close to so many visitor attractions. Florence is a wonderful place to visit.

I couldn’t find any negatives at all.

It was in a perfect location, it was very clean, the hosts were AMAZING!! The breakfast was so delightful, with custom orders on eggs, beautiful fruit plates, wonderful pastries and breads, and a huge dining table where all the guests could meet and mingle before starting their days. I was charmed in every way by this wonderful little hotel. The hosts were so helpful with dinner recommendations and reservations, and many travel tips. My daughter unfortunately broke her ankle while walking in town, and they were so helpful in giving us advice on how to navigate the health care system here in Florence.
