How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The bath was small. The rooftop was a little bit dirty and small.

Not handicapped friendly. Very small shower. The rooftop is hard to get to. Not worth the effort.

Perfect location—just steps from the train station and within a short walk of Florence’s main attractions. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the property itself was charming and well-kept. A great choice for anyone wanting convenience and comfort while exploring the city!

no complaint, just good to know: the bathroom is quite small
We stayed in Florence for one night. The hotel was centrally located, a stone's throw from the cathedral. Federica welcomed us very warmly and friendly. The rooms were clean. We especially liked the small kitchen we could use. The view from the roof terrace is beautiful. It can get very hot during the day, but in the evening you can comfortably enjoy the sunset and a drink above the city's rooftops. We also used the valet parking for €40. Everything worked smoothly. Breakfast was available at the sister hotel, which is just around the corner and offered a sufficient selection for €10.

The pictures can be inaccurate and misleading. If you want separate rooms in your triple, make sure you state that in the comment sections.
This place has the most amazing host you could ask for. Federica ensured that we were catered and taken care off every step of the way. World class hospitality!

The location is incredible with quick access to the duomo and the accademia. The rooftop terrace is breathtaking. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Additionally, the air conditioning works very well.

Rooms weren’t very soundproof.
Very central and the rooftop is beautiful. Elevator was handy for luggage! Federcia was amazing to deal with. She was very friendly and accommodating to any of our needs!!

The air conditioning of 430 was not enough for second floor

Nothing - it’s an old well kept building
Location was excellent - short walk from all the sites Rooms were lovely / comfortable and well decorated 👌 Free refreshments in the communal kitchen was a great idea and much appreciated ! Rooftop area was a bonus (although very hot !) to get away from the crowds and enjoy the views and a quiet drink.

The location was perfect, just a short walk from Florence’s main attractions. The room was clean, stylish, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout. The shower door didn’t shut properly and it was quite a small cubicle, but functional and did the job.
Location is excellent. Rooftop is so special. Kitchen is really useful. The rooms are clean and had everything you need for city break. All the staff I met were very friendly and helpful.
